Tennessee Lady Vol News

100%. I am hoping to see her and Zee on the floor together a lot this season. Can you imagine the pick and roll actions that could be? Both 6-4, have good handles, both can stroke it from the 3, and both play at the rim when in the paint. I don't know how teams can guard that combination effectively. That is a nightmare scout for most teams in the country. I'm getting excited for the season to start.
Agreed. They could be a scary combo on both sides of the ball. I also think Janiah's defense is underrated. She can guard smaller guards out on the perimeter. Cori Close had her guarding Juju and Paige.

Exciting times!

Cannot wait to see what Janiah Barker can do in this system. She was placed in a "proverbial" box last year at UCLA and we all know the mess that is Texas A&M (Joni Taylor) and the mental fatigue Barker must have felt there. College basketball has not seen her best yet. Her skill set and athletic ability are incredibly high, so having the ability to play free in our system should showcase how good she really is.

there's another one working VERY hard on offensive moves and skills that will be as good as those two,,,My darkhorse for most improved player this season,,,,Alyssa Latham

Paige Dauer:
"I am just looking forward to finally getting our first look at the team, that will hopefully come up within the next couple of weeks, and we can really, you know, dissect the team and, uh, kind of see where they are at their first couple of weeks into summer workouts."

For those who like to have it on your calendar when to start feeling impatient... ;)

Emily is looking like she is in good shape there. I am glad she got to play some while she was here, even if it was not a lot.
She will always be appreciated by me for having the best hands and softest shooting touch of any post we'd had in a very, very long time. If she'd had major D1-level quickness she would have been a major force. Still, she was and is an exemplary Lady Vol. I still occasionally wear my Saunders "shersey." 👍🏻

Man, what you doin' tryin' to curb their enthusiasm like that? Not cool, chuckie!
I'm thinking @chuckiepoo is only guilty of therapeutic instincts. Fans get themselves so jacked up before the season, that the teams--even when having an exceptional season--cannot possibly keep those same fans jacked up to that level.

The result? FootballGameThreadMeltdown and Sunday-Monday Fahr'EmAll post-partum. Dopamine addicts going through withdrawl, and blaming the players/coaches/referees/Athletic Director/SEC Commissioner.

Your old coach's advice is still good advice for happy living:
"Be where your feet are."
"Let the game come to you."

Texas has to play Tennessee, Sc, and LSU on the road as well as a home game with LSU. They do get Oklahoma at home. Tennessee has to play at LSU, SC, and Okla and get Texas at home. Sc plays at Okla and LSU and gets Texas and Tennessee at home. LSU has Tennessee, SC and Texas at home and Texas and Oklahoma on the road. Oklahoma has LSU, SC and Tennessee at home and Texas on the road.

Just looking at this being the five top teams you would have to say Texas and LSU got the worst draw. Tennessee got the next worst. Oklahoma and Sc got the best.

Jersey on Kaniya. Haha. Got her that time. But you just wait. Bet there'll be some tit for tat.

Jersey’s looking spry out there. The LV IG account posted another clip of Jersey blocking Ruby’s shot too.

They’re just short clips, but if she ends up being an eraser for us, look out.

There's got to be somebody to blame for every loss it seems.
