Compare that to my first 2 UK games (97 & 98), where our offense put up 59 on UK each year. Granted those weren't Rich Brooks coached teams, but still.

That pass to Moore gives me hope for the future. I know Moore's not there this year, but man, if Crompton can get his head on straight and not stare down his receivers, we won't be 5-7 again this year :dunno:

Granted the entire first half was abysmal.

last years kentucky game is on espnu right now. watching it has really made it sink in just how inept our offense was last year...not a single point on our opening drive all of last year :eek:hmy:

Know what you mean. 1/7 in 3rd down conversions against Kentucky.

I watched this whole game live and don't remember a thing about watching it for the second time. Amazing how much I blocked out from last year.

It may not look as impressive, but I bet losing to last year's Tennessee team hurts Kentucky fans a lot more than losing to our SEC and BCS title teams.

If Hal Mumme was the coach last year the game would not have been even close, UK by 21. We had a pretty good defense in "97 and Couch shredded it for close to 40 pts and over 500yds passing IIRC. That game was a shootout.

Last year's UT-Vandy game really made it sink in. Never again will Vandy want the game to be wide open with UT wanting a closed-up attack.

I can't believe how incredibly basic and old school our offense was those last two games. We looked like a boring high school offense most of the time. And, yet we won them both.

My little league team ran a more complex offense than we did last year, and that was in 1988( another bad football season for UT)
