Tennessee is going to struggle for 2 years anyway.

Its hard for me to believe that all those good recruiting years under Butch have left the cupboard bare. Butch pulled in some talent; he had no clue about how to use it.

No matter who takes the job will struggle getting over the roster Butch left.... the recruiting loss from the fanbase uproar....

The only thing you can say about Tee Martin is he might not be ready yet?

Get Tee let him be the HC take these 2 years to learn and grow. If Tennessee is going to take these losses either way. So bring Tee home!

Get this right Fulmer no better time than now to let a young Tee Martin learn the ropes grow & have a chance to bring Tennessee back in 3 years!!!

BRING TEE MARTIN HOME!

The fanbase uproar was justified, blame it on ten years of frustration. Sick and tired of being sick and tired.

I second the juco or transfers. We need to find the Cordarelle Patterson’s out there and roll with it.

Oh I agree with that 100% very justified!

Don't forget I was the one that started the empty Neyland movement

... should have been done on the Butch Jones hire tho.... took it out on the wrong coach.

can't have what happened last week and not expect there to be a cost. and that cost most likely in the near term was that 2018 recruiting class.

so i think there's talent on this roster as it is right now. depth will take a hit. i think you look at the schedule, and combine that with what probably won't be a stellar class this year, and it's hard not to think 2018 is basically in the bag already.

that doesn't mean 2019 and beyond is in that much jeopardy. i think it's probably wise to let it play out, just a little bit, before we concede the next two years all together.

We will not struggle if we hire Venables. Just listening to the guys post game comments makes you wanna go out and block and tackle and take care of the football.

Tee Martin would be a trainwreck in this situation as a HC. This is nearly as dumb as championing Greg ****ing Schiano as a head coach.

that's a loaded question......lol.

of who's left, or still on some kind of list.... my gut says venebles may be the one that has the best chance at translating into what we need the soonest.

if it's down to Steele and Tucker, i'd probably go Tucker.

if we're willing to invest in the long term, and exercise patience, and beaucoup resources to a staff, i'd go with Tee. i think he will be very good eventually.

which means we'll get kevin steele.

Yeah, because we a dead set on getting a bargain up and coming coach that might turn out good, while there are coaches out there that WOULD win and want the job (Leach, Kiffin, Miles) are not even being considered. If you set yourself up to fail, you will fail.

Yea I think Steele is a possibility. I like just focus on winning the east in 2020 and let Tee build it up with his guys. Him or Kiffin are the only ones young and exciting enough to recruit to Tennessee right now.

Situational awareness right now brother.... I agree on Kiffin & Miles but that's not where Fulmer is going to go.

kiffin ain't happening. so i just don't even entertain the notion other than to say that with Kiffin, it's his ties to TN that eliminate him as a candidate, and with Tee it's his ties to TN that make him a candidate.

and neither one is really being sought after by anyone else at the moment, unless you believe Arkansas is going after kiffin. seems like a cultural clash, though they did go Bobby Petrino...so who knows.

100% on Kiffin

As soon as Fulmer was announced, I told the wife "well I know it's not going to be Kiffin now" 😂😂

Fulmer will not pull a trigger on a coach that UT was not their dream job and fled K-Town.

And there's your problem, name a coach other than maybe Tee Martin, that UT would be his dream job......

Kiffin is probably the best of the bunch that's left out there and Fulmer isn't even going to entertain a phone call?

Put the ego and pride aside and call the man, at least listen to what he has to say, he might tell Fulmer that he's happy where he's at, who knows but to not call him and ask is criminal.

Who ever said that UT would be Tee Martin's dream job. Has he ever gave any indication of that? How many times has he been back to campus, done anything beneficial for UT or even made complementary comments. Tee Martin may be a great coach and a great guy but he hasn't done anything to earn a shot at leading our football program yet.
