Tennessee is down to a -6.5 favorite

Tennessee has to hold the record for playing the most games against teams who have the hero, last game, we are going to win it for him or whatever sentimental thing that fires them up.

There was Tom Osborne (Nebraska would have beaten us anyway) but I can't think of anyone else where this would apply.

I don't mean just a head coach. Like a hurt player such as Haskins in the '95 Ky game (I know they won) or a team that has had a hard time and this was their coming out.

I used to feel that way and now I am thinking they were because we just weren't good.

It takes a lot of early money coming in on Missouri to move a betting line 2 1/2 points. It'll be interesting to see what the line is at kick-off. Frankly, I like our Vols at -6 1/2. If it drops another point/point and a half, I'm all in....
The public is all over Mizzou for the perceived emotional factor around Pinkel's last game. It wasn't even sharp money coming in, just a week's worth of public dumping money on Mizzou.

Mizzou has a strong interior line, but if we use the edge properly, we should score 24 to 30 points.
I think they've lost a couple of DTs

They're looking for action on both sides. 6 1/2 is a good line for that, they'll get it.
It opened at -9, that's where they thought they'd get the most action on both sides. It's down to -6.5/-7 now because people pounded the other side

I would steer clear of this one. FWIW my prediction has us winning by 8, but I could see a 3 TD win or an outright loss.
You are correct on steering clear, which is the best play, but some people like to bet on Vols, and if there was a time to do it, it was at -6.5 when Vegas thought -9 was a fair price.

Also, out of curiosity, how did your system have us doing in other games this year? How does you system think other Top 25 games this week will go?

Don't bet on your favorite team folks. It's a set-up for disaster.

You're welcome :hi:
2014 Florida was an ouch for me at every level.

Dale-Doe wouldn't touch this one with a fishing pole. If UT play up to their capability, spread more than covered, if they play not to lose as they have most of the year, bookies wins. Just the humble opinion of a Dale....

The Vegas bookmakers didn't get rich by giving away money. Never bet with your heart.

I don't like the matchup and didn't before all the retirement drama. Tough environment, we're banged up....I just want to escape with a W. 3-2 works for me. Just go into the Vandy game with a shot at 8 wins.

Probably the best outlook to have

If the UT that played Georgia and Alabama shows up we win easily. If the UT that played SCjr and North Texas shows up we'll struggle to win and possibly lose.

After watching the Citadel beats SC, I think this game will be closer than expected.
