And that's while we have played 2 legit defenses and only 1 FCS team. The sky is not falling. We're doing a lot of things well. We just need to FINISH. Get a little better on defense late in games and open up the passing game and we can run the table.

10-2 is not unlikely when you are elite at rushing and scoring offense.

I honestly wonder if Jones is afraid of raising expectations. This team should be 4-0 today. They could be top 15 in national rankings. Instead the horizon is lowered.

I posed this question in another forum: If the coaches had rushed 4 and even blitzed on the 4th and 14, and one or more of TN defenders got to the QB but let him wrestle away (just like multiple times in the OK game) and he had completed the pass for the TD, is it the coaches fault? I think the defensive backfield is not nearly as good as it needs to be. May be injuries, but they get beat a lot. Again not the coaches fault

You still want to lay it on the players, don't you? The COACH needs to finish. And the COACH needs to open up the passing game.

No. But it is pretty near impossible with the conservative game management we've seen.

I made my prediction last week and had Tennessee winning. In the prediction, I indicated that I wasn't sold on Tennessee being a good team but did not think they were bad. I said I thought Florida was bad.

If that field goal was good and Tennessee won, it would change the win-loss record and everyone would be happy because the streak was over, beat Florida, etc, etc, etc.

But, the fact would have remained that Tennessee is not playing to their capability and is not a good football team.

To make matters worse, the field goal wasn't good and they lost and so far that's all they've proven they know how to do against decent competition

FWIW, UT is 18th in rushing yards... 51st in ypc.

UT is 19th in scoring.

As you might guess, UT is 101st in passing yds, 64th in yd/completion, and 68th in completion %.

UT is 56th in total O.

It's not unlikely....it's absolutely f-ing impossible.

It's actually a very good chance. We have a very good team. Bad coaching but there is no way that they do what they've done to us and the players again.

UT won't go 5-7...which has been the norm since 2008.

Are you sure?

If Jones does not change, EVERY SEC game is in play... even when UT has a significant roster advantage as they do over UK, VU, USCe, and MU.... possibly Ark as well.

I am not honestly sure that a team coached this way can expect to do better than split the 6 games on the schedule besides UGA and Bama. That yields 5 wins.

Two things.

UF had a RS Fr in his 4th game protected by a very young OL... and you are so scared he will burn you that you play prevent? They playcalled him into virtually the ONLY scenario he was likely to succeed in.

Second, if you want to throw the players under the bus like you just did.... why isn't the secondary any good in Jones' 3rd year?

I just hope you realize that if we lose this weekend, we will most likely be 2-5! VN will be on meltdown. I think this weekend will pretty much set the tone for the year. A loss and we will be fighting to get in a bowl.
PS 2-6 is also possible now that UK has improved dramatically.
