Butch drastic philosophy change and Whiney beotches like JRM were the problem. Strength program was becoming fine under Lawson. Butch let his players talk him into a change. He allowed players to become weaker and soft going to more agility things. It got nearly the entire team killed on the field by end of yr as every team was stronger and more physical than us. Then rock has Try and fix serious damage done and isn't given the backup from Butch needed to control players.

Strength program was a butch and crybaby player problem not so much the guy in charge.

Fitz will be great because he relates and his boss will give him full reigns and not undermine him

I trust Fulmer and Pruitt on the hire as they know the importance. We've been lead down this "next greatest" SC coach so many times I just can't get too excited about it...will have to see.

3 years away from College isn't too bad IMO. Rock was around 17 years out of college before he headed back.

I'm not a gym buff, but I believe there is a totally different mindset regarding NFL and college.

The NFL is basically about conditioning. They are already strong and where they needed to be.

College is about building muscle and strength FIRST IMO.

I really don’t follow strength and conditioning so someone help me out - does a S&C coach devise their own plan for player development in this area and the HC doesn’t have much input? Or, does the HC sit down with the S&C coach and tell him what he wants from each position group from and physical standpoint and the S&C coach develop a plan based on that?

I don't know anything about S&C, but as much as anything, this team needs some continuity. This is the fourth different S&C coach, or lack of, in 4 years.
