I think it's more about how would "she" define a good hire. And it sounds like the answer is someone who has not been in trouble with the NCAA anytime recently, and who will be compliant with rules.

Which is no one. That literally applies to no one. Everyone cheats. Everyone breaks and bends rules. It's just who is going to be stupid about it or smart about it.

This investigation started in November. This should have been done already. They should have announced the new AD today when Fulmer stepped down. They should have had the new coach ready to roll by the end of the week. Texas knew when urban said no they couldn't keep Herman. So by the time the announcement of the firing was ready the new hire was ready. Sadly the bumble gang never changes on the hill and they screw up before they even get started.

Agree with all this but it doesn‘t necessarily take 3 years to become a winning team. I know Saban is a different animal but he went from like 6-6 to 11-1 in year. An innovative offensive scheme and a great QB can fix a lot of problems. Quickly! That year that Central Florida beat the Auburn team that had beaten Bama. They had roughly 40% of the talent that Bama had. They just played really well. We can do that next year.

Think about how bad Butch was at first and once Dobbs started and could run his offense and make plays, we literally went from terrible, to beating Florida and Georgia back to back the next year. It takes years to build a team like last years Bama team, but you can get good quick.

I agree. A handful of really good players, especially at the QB position can make all the difference in the world.
