In the category of stats I just made up, but are interesting all the same, Tennessee now has the best average recruiting ranking between basketball and football at 7.5 on the 247 composite. This is the result of a 10th rated football class and a 5th rated basketball class (average = 7.5).

Michigan is 2nd place at 9.0.

I made sure to include Florida State for the sake of the moron from Florida State's Fansided site who declared our programs "pretty terrible" after we snagged Malachi Wideman away from them.

I’m not necessarily encouraging anybody to give that article a click, but holy crap, that was the most bitter thing I’ve ever read😂 Man’s so mad

Truly the sourest of sour grapes.

Made all the more hilarious when you realize that we have an almost identical record over the past few seasons as Florida State in basketball and we were slightly better in football.

The humor in an FSU homer calling our programs "terrible" is fairly high. Yeah, there's still a lot of work to do with the football team and basketball took a big step backward after last season, but FSU was a joke on the field and is not exactly a world-beater on the court.

Of course, I can't blame them (him) for being a little annoyed by losing a solid prospect. We'd feel the same way, I suppose. In any event, all these other programs can get bent.

How in the world did we drop from 4th to 5th in BB after adding Vescovi? I though we might sneak in ahead of KY in 3rd.

Curious as to how Beckwith and Wideman would affrect the BB ranking. Aren't they both decently ranked?

Wideman is; he's a top 200 basketball recruit (used to be top 100). He's already listed as boosting our bball class on 247.

Beckwith is good, but not a top recruit. I don't think he's ranked by any of the recruiting services.
