Ohio is definitely the biggest shock. There are 3-4 feasible teams to play up there.

Suprised we never had a home and home with OSU

IIRC we had a home and home scheduled with OSU....something like 2022-2024? I think OSU cancelled it for some reason.

They showed their colors by cancelling all SEC series (including Vandy with James Franklin). They were scared of Vandy and Derek Dooley.....

I guess that explains their all-time bowl record against SEC teams

Think WV would be good. BUT, somehow I thought we played Penn St, I think back in the early 70's up there. Guess I am wrong, which seems to quite a bit lately.
Somehow we got Penn State to play us in Neyland twice. First one was the first game in Neyland under lights I think.

Right! I think you are correct about lights. Seems I remember a comment being made about the lights being a little dim. I remember seeing the sight in my imagination as being a dim image. Was it this game that we kicked off a popup and recovered around their 30 or maybe even scored, can't remember for sure?

That was actually the second of the two I believe. The first was 1971 and the second, the one played under the lights was 1972.

I’m just surprised at the amount of states we haven’t played in, I would’ve guessed it’d be around 15, not 26
