Tennessee football players involved in brawl

This isn't about being innocent or guilty! Its about being a big time college athlete and being smart enough to know that you can't put yourself in these situations! A strip club on a hot mid summer night isn't a good place to be for 18 yr old kids that are prepairing for their fresh/soph year of college football! They should be eat, drink and sleeping football right now! Quit giving these kids excuses cause they'll never learn and just keep ******* up

It wasn't a strip club. It was a club on the strip. I'm not making excuses, but I am pointing out that you obviously don't have all the facts here.

Is that UT's official "picking up the perp from jail" car? Been getting lots of use lately!

I was just letting your crap slide off my back for the past 40 pages, but it is getting old now.

I don't think bulldog fans have any room to talk.

I never have understood why loser fans from other teams hang out on rival's message boards. Don't you have anything better to do? You have been posting here all day.

If he was drunk then no.

We can speculate all day long and it won't change what happened so until we know all the facts it's really hard to make a decision on how I feel about it.

One thing is for sure. Bar Knox should be in trouble for having 18 yr old kids drinking/drunk on their property.

Imma wait for the reports saying they were drinking. The fact they were there breaks no laws.

"Tennessee safety Janzen Jackson was also on the scene, but it’s been reported that he left the club on Knoxville’s “Strip” when trouble broke out. Jackson was one of three Volunteers arrested last fall in connection with an attempted burglary outside an area convenience store. Charges against Jackson were dropped in that case." MrSEC.com

Maybe Janzen learned his lesson last time...

I was kidding about the not a big deal thing, I think we lost one of our DBs (Myles) and our very talented Da'Rick Rogers is also being charged. So, yeah it doesn't look good, BUT we haven't got all the facts. They could have been defending themselves because they were scared, or they'd just been drinking and was acting a fool. Things like this happen all the time, everywhere but the fact that it's our football players is what's making the media drool

Ugh ok thanks...

Thank you. That's what I've been saying all day but all he does is crack jokes.

All the while, UGA has had all types of incidents happen lately and I guess he's just too dense to realize how much of a hypocritical idiot he sounds like...

strip club. club on the strip. what's the difference?

i think there should be a strip club on the strip and call it club strip.

This repetitive behavior is has continued to tarnish this once great university and program, if not the entire sport of college football.

Our inability to get out of our on way is astonishing. Can we not find any coaches, administrators, faculty or leaders that can keep this kids in a constructive enviroment after 12:00am.

I grow tired of the excuses made for these young men. It is really simple, NOTHING good happens after 12:00, and at the expense of a paid for education and an opportunity to fulfill NFL dreams, you would think these young men could avoid these types of situations. Its frustrating......

This is the same story that we hear every six months or so on average..Tiresome...

I blame the team....and mainly the starters, the leaders, and the upperclassman. Before I get bashed, let me explain. They need to hold each other accountable. They need to expect more from each other. There should be a level of respect that surpasses no other. I have heard many many players...even at a high school level talk about how the seniors/leaders WOULD not tolerate certain things from other players. Even something as simple as "walking" off field (showing laziness) would deem someone to get their "head knocked off" in the next play... I know they can't hold each other's hand but a mentor system needs to be place. They need someone to be accountable to...other than the coach. Some of these players have been thru 3 coaches....so they know coaches can come and go (even if we fans hate it at time) but the team remains...they are a family. I remember hearing Al Wilson make the statement last year that the '98 team was more about accountablity and knowing there would be hell to pay on field if other teammates did something that did not represent the team well. I can't quote him word for word....but the key was accountabilty to each other...no one else...not the coach or their parents. I think once the respect & accountability returns to our program we will be better volunteers, better people, better players, and better fans.

They're saying it in another thread, supposedly rivals is saying it but I haven't seen a link yet.

Tune into College Football Live on ESPN at 3:30 EST. I'm sure they'll be all over this.
