Tennessee football players involved in brawl

He hit his head on the ground because he was knock unconscious. Its stupid to imply its not their fault because their foot didn't cause it.

I didn't imply that it wasn't their fault, guy. I implied that the wound coming from hitting his head on the ground is less malicious than getting curb stomped or kicked in the head. Can't see the forest for the trees I see.

hounestly though i think they dont need to be blamed for the cop part....

when i was 20 i got arrested for a DUI in knoxville. i scraped the side of a car that was beside me and it turned out to be a off duty cop in street clothes. i stopped my car and the guy was my age (22) and in street clothes and had a gun out screaming for me to stop that he was a cop. he had no badge and was acting like a crazy man wile his gf was screaming at me and in my face. i told him to get the "f" out of my face or show me a badge. when the knox PD showed up of course they took his side but if i would have had a camra he would have been the one going to jail. im not just saying this bc of sour grapes and what those kids did crossed the line....but knoxville needs to get a handle on how their officers conduct themselves when they are off duty and for that matter when they are on duty...i saw alooot of shady action going on when i had to go to jail for a night....

they are though; most times they're held to much harsher standards and punishments due to all the media tie ins.

The thing is though, as a college student, they still have to be allowed the opportunity to make their own decisions, and if it's a bad one, the university is to respond in return with proper punishment - even if it means expulsion. But it's not the university's job to babysit any of these students, whether it's the bio major or the football player. their choices, decisions, and repercussions are all on them

Does the coaching staff have the right to enact harsher rules to drop the chances of this happening?

The biology teacher is not affected by one of his students being arrested and missing class.

Well, that should officially confirm that Brown won't be a qualifier this year. Time to roll out the walkon program to any fat guys pounding a few Double Downs at KFC.
Just questioning brown won't necessarily lead to that, but the line about kFC is pretty freaking funny

Let's wait until the facts are in before we trash the players, the cop, or the bar owner. We only have one side's version so far. Why is everyone so quick to jump on people? We should stand behind our players until convicted and asked to leave the team. I am looking forward to hearing the players version of events. Go Vols!

Are we sure the story and video is true? Maybe codyg10's lil brother hacked the news rooms computer and doctored the video & story.

Right, so if he would have died nobody would have been charge with murder because its not malicious. Great logic.

Yeah I get what your saying, personally I just don't see the point in doing so.

I'm 18 I don't go partying on the weekends, don't smoke, don't drink, don't put myself into possible bad situations. Therefore I don't get in trouble with the law either. I just don't see why college and pro athletes feel the need to do this, if a college guy gets kicked off the team your pro future pretty much goes down the drain. If your a pro guy and you get in trouble you lose a million dollar job...

Why risk your career with stupid moves like this?

they're immature sometimes; got away with all this stuff covered up when they were in high school. I'm told there's a variety of things it can be

Lot of times it just boils down to they're not mature enough to understand the right choices to make, but because of their age they can't be babied, led or watched over anymore; they have to make their own decisions and deal with the results of their own actions at this point in their lives

The Bar owner looks like she doesnt know anything about the situation.

I bet you only had two beers too

I still blame Matt Hasselback for everything...

Had Hasselback not sucked Jim Mora wouldn't have gotten fired. Then Pete Carroll would not have left USC then LK wouldn't have gone to USC and we would have Ambles and not Rogers...I blame Matt Hasselback
