Tennessee football players involved in brawl

which means they have to suffer higher levels of discipline with less leeway for their actions, that's already their.

But it doesn't mean that it becomes the university's job to parent them...if anything it means that the university should be absolutely willing to dole out the necessary punishments for their actions, even if the necessary one turns out to be (in cases of harsh wrongdoings and such) expulsion and disassociation with the university

I agree with that, but I also played D-1 baseball. Any athlete, {golfers, tennis, track, anything} is a representative of the University more than just a regular student. The higher profile position comes with more regulation.

whatever happened to dorm or house parties???

House parties are cop magnets especially in the Fort Sanders area

Also, I've gotten into Bar Knox and all the other bars on the strip that charge a cover for free on numerous occasions its not a big deal, NCAA wont make a fuss about that at all

I blame gangster rap lol. Seriously though all the kids wanna be thugs instead of role models and professional athletes. So treat them like thugs and put them behind bars. The world we live in...

You blame Aaron Douglas?:eek:hmy:

I used the word whippersnapper because you seem to be under the impression that I was born druing the Wilson administration. I thought you were saying it was a trap when you said:

and

My bad.

yes, exactly. and you seem not to be able to comprehend what that means, like there is a steel cage inside bar knoxville that traps players. good grief.

That's what I said? Majored in turf management so I can run the family farm in Newport Beach, CA. You ever been out here? Great weather.

My mother lives in Laguna... I didn't realize they had farms in Newport... Lol

Fight as a team? Give me a break. When someone is on the ground it takes several players to finish him off? Our players can't handle themselves on their own? Sounds like they need to be toughened up.
you obviously have not ever witnessed a bar fight.
there are no rules. it's one group against the other and no one cares about who's outnumbered or not. if your outnumbered it's best you back down. it's not fair, but it's not suppose to be.

Have you ever been on a fight? You don't stop when you should. Ever. The kicking while down is part of it all. Sorry. It sucks but you can't get mad about the cop getting kicked. I'm mad that this happened. And upset it involved UT stars but kicking them off the team is a little much. Pull a Meyer and suspend them for the opening game. While setting a curfew for 11pm.

Ut Vols88 later in the thread said the above bolded portion.

If you kick someone who is down you are a coward and female dog. If you have been in fights you know that you try to help your buddy up when he is down, and when someone is knocked out, lesson learned and the fight gets broken up. Brawls do not last 6 minutes like a movie action scene, they usually take 15-20 seconds. Everyone around gets an adrenaline dump, some people are combatants, others are vulture coward losers who hang on the periphery waiting for someone to go down so they can jump in and kick them and pretend they were involved in the fight...

Everyone who fits in the kicker vulture category is a coward and I despise those people.

You can say that all you want but it happens. Again I am not a fighting person, but I have been to plenty of bars where there has been a huge brawl of some sort. Ive seen many many a time the losing party get kicked and hit continuously even when they are down until the employees/cops come to drag them away. You can claim its coward but its reality. Is it sad? yes. But a simple part of most fights that happen inside of a bar.

FWIW: I believe the state of Tennessee should revoke this bars liquor license TODAY if proven that these kids have had one sip of alcohol.

We bring these guys out of ghetto areas and expect them to act like choirboys. Theres only so much a coach can do with a team of 85 players.

It's the Three Musketeer syndrome: All for one, one for all. Cops do it too, just look at videos of cop shows ganging up on an unarmed and unresisting downed guy.

If his brother is saying that he hit his head on the sidewalk after being pushed then this sounds like no big deal.

Sounds to me like the cop doesn't want to make a very big deal of this which tells me that he may be at fault just as much as anybody else and he knows it.

This may not be a big deal at all.

Falling and hitting his head on the sidewalk after being pushed is a far cry from being curb stomped by 10 football players.

And how do you know this? Facts please

Officers dont make the laws, they just enforce them.

If you break the law expect to become acquainted with one.

If you break billy bad ass, expect to have your ass handed to you.

A fair fight is one on one. A weak*** ***** cant fight one on one, thats why they need tha boys to back them up.

Yep, spoken like a cop.
