Some Notes:

BUTCH JONES

Dylan Wiesman played his most complete game of the year. Jack Jones earned some time in practice.

On Darrin Kirkland. Out this game. High ankle. After this week it will be a week to week progression. Same thing with Latroy Lewis; he'll probably be out a couple weeks.

We've been challenged up front on the offensive line the first two weeks and will be again this week.

Jashon Robertson has had some issues with his base being too wide which is limiting his movement, but he'll get that corrected.

We did some different things tempo wise on offense after the first quarter that helped us.

Will compete this week to replace Kirkland. Colton Jumper will be in the mix. McDowell. Sapp. Whoever has the best week of practice will play. We can move Reeves-Maybin as well.

Excited for Abernathy. He has a knack for the football. He is consistent week in and week out.

This is a noon game. Ohio stars fast so we are going to have to start fast. It's all about body clocks.

Update on Chance Hall. He is making remarkable progress. Still two weeks out at best. We've missed him. He will help us immensely.

Preston Williams was limited. Missed practice Tuesday with a hamstring, but expected to be full strength.

Jennings had one of his best weeks of practice and it showed in the game.

We missed way to many tackles early on defense and allowed too many third down conversions. The game seems to slow down for them as it goes along.

At corner, Justin Martin and Moseley did some good things. Osborne doing some very good things and on special teams. Buchanan got some good reps at the end of the game. We may move Foreman around from nickel to corner.

Berry was hamstring. Kongbo and KMac are fine.

/end

I dont have to listen cause same crap as always. How we are 2-0. How we showed promise in the 2nd half to get better. How team 120 has improved from team 119. Thought Dobbs improved from week 1 to week 2 and how Ohio will provide a challenge and we have to stay mentally tough this week. I'll answer any questions you may have

Preston missed Tuesday's practice with some hamstring issues. Should be back to full health this week.

Kirkland and Lewis both have ankle sprains. Lewis out a few weeks and just caught the tail end of Kirkland. THINK he said just out this week.

Butch said "Colton Jumper has been consistent." I can only assume his mike cut out and I missed "-ly bad."

I'm telling you guys, the coaches and players absolutely love Colton Jumper. Not sure what the disconnect is between how he practices all week and how he plays on Saturday, but make no mistake, he is loved in the facility and he's gonna play. It is what it is.

If that's the case, he needs to make some plays when the lights are on and his confidence will skyrocket. He'll start reacting without thinking.

Just how much money does his dad pump into UT football??? Carson Anderson never saw the field but his family pumped millions in....what gives with Jumper :dunno:

The thing about consistency, is being consistent in you everyday effort of consistency, uniformity, constancy, regularity, evenness, steadiness, stability, equilibrium there are many things that describe consistency:

1.Conformity in the application of something, typically that which is necessary for the sake of logic, accuracy, or fairness.

2. The way in which a substance, typically a liquid, holds together; thickness or viscosity. The consistency of my beer is important in order to feel the full effect of its biological impact of my cerebral condition.

Go Vols!!!

Jumper made a few plays sat night.. I know at least 2 tackles he made was back to back and that was before Kirkland got hurt I believe.

Last year we would start fast and not finish while this year so far we have started slow but finished with a victory. Always something to complain about.
