18-8 and we should have beaten Florida, Arky, Oklahoma, in 2015 and SCAR, aTm and Vandy in 2016. Not to mention we were real close to taking down bamer in 2015 as well.

Of course we should feel fortunate to have beaten SCAR in 2015 and Georgia, App St in 2016. Then you have those Jeckyl and Hyde games against Florida and Virginia Tech this season to boot.

Had we done all that we would have won the east both years and got more shots at bama(maybe).

120 was so inconsistant.

If should was wood we'd all get laid.

I almost completely agree with u, except for the Arkansas game. Yes, we had a 17 point lead, but they physically dominated us from late in the 1st quarter until the game was over.

Well, at least they're now using the records for full seasons in their quotes vs. UT is 15-4 in their last 19 games, etc.

Didn't read the article as that being a direct quote from Jones about the 3rd best record in the SEC so it's probably the author who deserves any criticism.

No it will always be Jones fault until UT wins the SEC. If that happens Hoke , Canales etal will get the credit as new blood and winning in spite of CBJ. Watch and see....:)

Well, the previous 3 years under CBJ the theme was it's not how you start its how you finish. Ok, well finishing 2016 4-4 in the final 8 games with 2 of those losses coming to Vandy and USC? Whats the new theme?

If CBJ is truly a good coach (and not a cliqued, three-year wonder with a chant of "early playing time" to his benefit), this year will illustrate that. In '16, he beat teams he was supposed too; unfortunately, he lost to teams he was supposed to beat and almost lost to those he should have beaten - with a roster full of NFL talent/combine invitees.

This year will determine his future at UT. Can he game-day coach, over-see game day prep, motivate throughout the season, have his team ready to play from snap 1 in each game, develop talent to fill for the inevitable injuries, etc.? Not saying he can't do it, but unfortunately for me the jury is still out.

To surmise: 2 of the 3 best records in the SEC reside in the east with #3 sporting an 0 for 13 vs the west.
