Tennessee Football is not done

been a Vol fan a long time and as a Vol fan it took 36 years for me to see my first Vol National Championship...death is the only thing that will separate me from being a Vol fan and I have a doubt about that...just the way I roll...:D

GO VOLS...RECRUIT LIKE HECK!
Hey Milan, had to use a calculator, but it took me over 46 years (if you disregard the questionable one in the 50's) But we have seen some really rough time, some really good times and a lot of time in between. We know better, but lets be a "glass fuller" (as referred to in an above post) and expect to see good times just ahead!!!

Well no. Of course not. UT will always field a football team. Whether they win many games or whether anyone will show up to watch is a different question. I have faith they will improve and become competitive again. But it will take a few years.

UT football will never be done. We have NFL facilities and financial backing. Stop being cheap and we will get results. If Pruitt doesn’t work out(which I strongly believe he will), then we could always go the A&M route and throw a brinks truck at someone. Not many schools can pull that off, we are one of them if we ever get tired of being embarrassed

And that falls on his INDIVIDUAL choice. I agree with him. I’m not sure that someone will argue with you that record doesn’t MATTER. Just that we’re going to be Vol fans. Since you strongly disagree, what record is going to compel you to stop posting on this fan website? Humbly requested.

Another 4 win season coupled with another Haslam stooge appointee. Then we’ll know it’s finally finished.

If we can get bowl eligible next year, and Jimmy Haslam doesn’t meddle anymore, then this thing may actually show proof of life.

I will never pull for my team to lose but it would be beyond interesting to see that theory tested with you. So 4 wins and you gone? 🤔

Sons of Knoxville! Of Tennessee! My brothers! I see in your eyes the same fear that would take the heart of me! A day may come when the courage of Vols fails, when we forsake our friends and break all bonds of fellowship. But it is not this day. An hour of dawgs, kats, red elephants, of shattered facemasks and torn jerseys when the age of Orange comes crashing down! But it is not this day! This day we fight! By all that you hold dear on this good Earth, I bid you stand! Men of the East!

Proof of life? We are champions of life!

It’s strange that you dislike me this much. Seems like it would be a waste of my time to always engage someone I disliked hoping to make them leave unless you just want an echo chamber.

Obviously bad enough that beating Kentucky gives him hope. How tf you think it made him feel?
I asked the ? because I wondered whether the thrill of beating Kentucky for like the 88th time in 17 years or whatever it's been provided enough juice to overcome the last couple of games of the season. FWIW, I though the other thread was equally silly.

UT isn't done. But I think a lot of the fan base needs to alter their expectations of what they consider a good year. Especially those of us who were here through the 90's. That type of continuous success probably isn't going to happen again.

Why??

That is the biggest crock of crap and is nigh but making excuses for this staff and those in the future.

If Clemson can do what they've done so can UT

If the Vols made me as sick and miserable as it does some of our fan base I would hope I would have enough sense to give it up(for my family if nothing else)...Of course I do realize that some of those "fans" aren't fans at all. They do this stuff to fulfill some sick place in their hearts....who those drivellers are is not for me to say....I have an acquaintance who is a die hard over the top obnoxious Hogs fan (he actually cried the day Petrino was fired). He once admitted to me he goes on other boards like these disguised and stirs up folks for the fun of it. As I told him..."Man you need serious counselling"... so that's generally how I view post that are obviously out of the main stream with normally acceptable fandom behavior.

Very hopeful with fulmer and Pruitt in charge. We've had ADs in charge just concerned with the bottom line moreso than actually winning football games. We've been cheap and inept in pursuing the best coaches and personnel to make us consistently competitive

Boys, boys, boys, all you have to do is use your senses. The oven is good and hot, the iron skillet is seasoned for the task at hand, and it is almost complete!! I can SMELL IT! Cornbread, nothing smells or tastes better especially with a big bowl of soup beans! GO VOLS!
