Tennessee football is dead

I seriously won't renew my season tickets next year. I've had them ever since I graduated from professional school in 2013. I really don't enjoy driving two hours to watch such a bad product on the field

It's been a long long time brother, since we had much to get excited about (2016
being the exception). People have very good reason to be down on the program. Much of what's happening now looks like rinse and repeat. We should probably withhold judgement until next year, hopefully bring in some better players with guts, and another year in S&C program. The thing that bothers me is there doesn't appear to be much at all improvement in certain positions over the course of the season.

I understand it, but I just feel like this situation is completely unique and unlike anything we as TN fans have faced. The worst season in school history last year. No S&C for 2 years. First year HC, OC and DC. New schemes on both sides of the ball. I just feel that its going to take time. And thats something we have heard nay times before. But it just is what it is.

Now, if we look like this in year 3? Then I believe we can start the conversation of a dead program.

The demise of Tennessee football is greatly exaggerated! I am sure.....positive.....that 2019 will see us as National Champions once again!
Not trying to be mean, but what are you smoking. We are a long, long way from being respectable again if ever and I hate to say this being a fan for over 60 years. It has been in decline for a long time!

It’s not dead. New coaches and new scheme aside.....Tyson Helton either needs a knot jerked in his ass or walking papers. He is a comparably high paid OC and his play calling is as if he has no feel for the game. Will Friend did nothing with the O-line. Recruiting and hope is what I hang on to. We are a work in progress. We are Tennessee. Don’t forget that.

It wouldn’t be so bad if it was dead.

This is like a brain dead loved one who overdosed but is clinging on in a vegetative state.
And every time you get ready to pull the plug they’ll wake up for a sec then slip back into the vegetative state

2001 expectations - be in the hunt to play for a NC
2007 - be in the hunt for the East
2010 - hope we can make it to a bowl game
2018 - hope we can not get blown out by Vandy and Missouri

Looks like it. Butch was a terrible HC and the team quit during the season, yet we only improved from 4-8 to 5-7. It looks like we're still a long way away from respectability much less contending in the SEC.

Think about this.... what if.... Jack Jones didn't have the neck condition..... Boulware didn't leave.... Smith was healthy..... and Kelly and Gaulden didn't leave early? This team would look completely different ...... probably still stink, but look a lot more athletic
