Hope springs eternal. I have a lot of faith and sometimes surprised at how things turn out. I am a VFL with a bachelors and a masters degree from the University of Tennessee. My mom and dad, recently passed, were huge Tennessee fans. I remember the years of not being able to beat Bama and then being at the game when we won. I remember Sugar Bowls in New Orleans and going to Orlando for several bowl games. I will never forget the Fulmer years and how good we were. I don't think it is just Tennessee fans but people all over the world when it comes to hate, vitriol, and being ugly towards their neighbors. A minority for sure...but, with the internet they get way more attention than they deserve. Yes, I will watch the games and try to attend a few. I will hope for a great future, lots of wins, championships, and I will not throw in the towel. I'm sure my dad is cheering for the VOLS from heaven and one day I hope to join him there.

That statement says more about you than you may think. You are going to base your fandom off of the people they hire, but you have never met those people, were not in the interview, are not privileged to the direction the university has in mind, and base your opinion of said people on what you read online about them.

I would hope by Plowman’s and Boyd’s statement, we don’t have anything to worry about. Sounds to me like they honestly want to fix the problem.
