I think it will be a tight game... but I'm just guessing like the rest.

Seems about right to me, but the line may move some closer to game day. I like UT -6.

Iowa is hard to get a read on simply because they've played no one of real significance.

I hate to be "that guy", but I can't help but realize how AJ would really help against a team like this.
I expect a lot of points in this one.

We've officially entered the 'hell if I know' part of the season. I'm a gambler, but I stay away from the bowls.

Iowa comes to play for bowl games.

2003 Outback Florida 37-17 W
2004 Capital One LSU 30-25 W
2005 Outback Florida 24-31 L
2006 Alamo Texas 24-26 L
2008 Outback South Carolina 31-10 W
2009 Orange Georgia Tech 24-14 W
2010 Insight Missouri 27-24 W
2011 Insight Oklahoma 14-31 L
2013 Outback LSU 14-21 L

Other than 2011, they've been competitive, tight games. It's going to be close.

Their schedule is weak. In tough games they played Wisconsin and Nebraska close and got blown out by Minnesota (No Ole Miss, AL, OK, GA at peak performance like we had). They lost to Iowa State and Maryland too. Nebraska, Wisconsin and Minnesota are equivalent to FL, SCAR and GA respectively.

If we are healthy, we can whip them and hold them tight on points.

We need our good offense to show up for this game and North is out already. We can add some wrinkles that they aren't ready for though (Dobbs-Hurd-Von or Pig on the option, better screen passes and more effective utilization of TEs, etc). It sure would be nice if we could start hitting a few long passes! Can't have another Mizzou/OK/Ole Miss/FL/UTC showing with the Oline!

Iowa ranks 60th in sacks with 26 (DE Ott 8 sacks/55 tackles, DT Pasat 7 sacks/65 tackles, LB Alston 3 sacks/84 tackles). We are 20th with 35 sacks.

We need to gain net yards on penalties too! Got to stop that run and mind the Turnovers.

AJ LB replacement needs to step up and be ready.

Evan Berry just might be the difference maker for us!

Iowa almost always plays to the level of it's opponent (with the Minnesota game being the exception). It should be a tight game if both teams play to potential.

If our guys are healthy, we win by 2 tTD's.

Same things people said about Flor, S.Carol and Mizzou. They have a top 20 defense. Could be just the conference they are in or they could be good. Doubt anyone around here follows Iowa enough to know if they suck or if they are good.

Agreed. I think that would be interesting. The only for sure losses to me would b Nebraska and Wisconsin. I think we would compete well. Our SOS is much tougher than theirs
