I hate this game from the potential injury standpoint. Their cut blocking could decimate our defense.

Georgia Tech is an horrible game to start off the season. We're basically asking for our DTs to get injured due to their constant cut blocking.

+ we get to spend most of our preseason planning our defense around the option..........

I would love to say that we will take care of GT. But honestly, I think we lose. I see our defense getting absolutely gashed and GT putting up 350+ rushing yards.

I might have to go in on that State Vs. South Carolina game. NC State -7, uh yeah right.

The triple option is hard to defend if you only have a week to prepare for it. Teams who have the luxury of having an extended time to prepare for it have done significantly better in defending it. Luckily, we'll have a whole offseason to prepare. I think we win in a close game

We won't lose but we certainly won't be coming out of this game without any injuries.

I'm not sure how prepared the team is going to be after a week of the 1st string defense playing against the 2nd & 3rd string offense trying to run an approximation of the triple-option offense. Not having the correct personnel for your defense to practice against is what makes it so hard to prepare for to begin with.

Its not like cut blocking is something new and isn't used by teams that don't run option. The technique for defeating cut blocking is pretty simple. See links below. The real test Tech presents is you have to play assignment football and you can't do what everyone wants to do and gets to do every other Saturday which is get up field and chase the football. I never played at the college level but did have to prepare for option teams in HS and staying with your assignment (could be the pitch man) after you see the QB running with the ball is counter intuitive and goes against all your instincts as a defender. All your football life its been find the ball tackle the ball. But if you play that way against option teams like Tech you'll get gashed.

UT and Bama both favored over Ga Tech and FSU, I guess the boys in Vegas don't have much respect for these ACC.
