Hope Tennessee gets the right head coach here. Going to be a lot of good openings in college football come Monday morning.

Hopeful we already have Les Miles locked up.

I bet we find out the latter part of the weekend. I think the candidate has been selected and he has permission to inform his family over this weekend. A family member or friend will leak it.

I am ready to move on, get fired up about recruiting and learning about the plans for a championship season next year.

No there is going to be a lot of good openings come Monday.... there are 3 openings now. And Tennessee is already playing from behind.

Tennessee

In that order. Tennessee can't move up that list. Tennessee opening can only get lower on the list as more jobs open. If fisher goes to Texas A&M once the FSU job opening dust would clear Tennessee could be WAY, WAY down on the list.

You guys do realize Tennessee has sucked for 15 years right?

Tennessee job could not even be in the top 5
Of openings come Monday.

Sumlin is getting fired and the Texas A&M job is a better job than Tennessee right now. Yea Texas A&M is in the west but they have $$$$, Texas recruiting base, great players, and a offensive line.

Rank the openings without Tennessee orange colored glasses right now. Keep in mind how shallow Tennessee is everywhere but running back and has 4 offensive linemen healthy

You are now way a UT fan , every post you have put on this site disparaging the Vols. Mods please investigate and ban this guy if needs be. No UT fan in their right mind wants a 63 yo has been , who hasn't been able to get a job for years to jump start a program.

Called truth hurts. It's where Tennessee is. You can either be happy with the last 15 years or you want better out of Tennessee.

Me personally I would like to see Tennessee win. Not just be happy for whatever is rolled out.

We don't know if we are even competing with any of those schools for a head coach but... Tennessee is a better job than UCLA. You want to talk about how long it's been since they were any good? Try 1998. That year mean anything to you? And as for the southern Cal recruiting base? Means nothing as most kids in so Cal have no loyalty to UCLA and USC gets most of them. Ever been to a game at the Rose Bowl? I saw us play them in both 1994 and 1997 and it is a dead atmosphere.

How do you know Tennessee is playing from behind other than you’re assuming that because it fits your narrative?

Tennessee is right there with all of those teams. It really depends on fit with the administration and I suppose, Location preference.

I've watched most every snap of the last 15 years of suck..... Being self aware helps. Not oblivious to reality

East far easier than west , TN recruiting base has improved dramatically last 10 years and will only get better , roster every bit as good as any of those other schools d please tell me what those other schools not named Florida has done since UT has ... patiently waiting

Recruiting base is improving in middle Tennessee. That's an out of date narrative. The division is solid but not an inhibitor to success. We are coming off of back to back 9 win seasons which isn't great but Texas A&M is staring yet another 8-5 season square in the face for the 4th year in a row. I noticed you didn't mention that. Our roster needs improvement for sure but we have a lot of good young players. We need Cade Mays back in the fold but have a very good defensive line committed.

I agree to the both above me. Tennessee recruiting base is getting better. However it's not better than Florida, Texas, or California.

Tennessee's base is better with the Nashville growth.

But it's still light years behind Florida, Texas & California

And all 3 schools have better players on their rosters top to bottom than Tennessee does right now....

Butch ran a lot of good players off. Tennessee is very shallow
