Tennessee Coaches Kicked out of Pahokee High..

I don't get all the bashing of Pahokee. Is it because Tristin posted an opinion and some disagree? Let's be real here. There are parts of East Tennessee that have nothing on Pahokee. As far as all of Kiffin's comments go. I'll admit the Pahokee thing was the only one that bothered me. I could care less about him taking jabs at Urbey and Nicky. They are grown men and rivals.

I don't get all the bashing of Pahokee. .....

I am just having a little fun. I am sure that it is a fine place, otherwise why would people chose to live there. It appears that a high school principle is looking out for his Alma Mater and manufacturing an excuse to legitimize it. To say an entire town is offended is laughable.

Pahokee's a dump---Kiffin doesn't need to be going down there anymore. There's a ton of talent all over the south that he can get instead.

What amazes me is that there are so many people on this board who 1) have never been to Pahokee; 2) can't point to a blank map of Florida and get within 50 miles of it; and yet will come on here and defend Kiffin's insulting of the school and coach, which was simply pointless and could not possibly have been of ANY benefit to UT, and do so by calling the place a crap hole.

You can argue all you want that Kiffin's attack onMeyer at least had some unintended benefit to you, but this thing with attacking Pahokee, it was just incredibly stupid and pointless.

It's not stupid. He doesn't give a damn if that dork running the school gets sand in his genitals about his comments. He'll continue to pull recruits from Pahokee and that Gator principal is going to shut up and like it.

That makes no sense. Why insult the guy or the school and the people who work there? What possible benefit could be derived?

Be honest. It was just immature moment # 2 in what would appear could be a long string of them, courtesy of Herr Kiffin.

He called out a principal that's proven himself to be a pompous douchebag that puts his own pathetic ego above the future of his own students. Big freaking deal.

Perhaps we've found a few Pahokee athletes who see the principal (small p) for what Kiffin says he is. :dance2:

It's not like many people in South Florida gives a squat about the Gators. The bonehead would fare better if he tried to force them to play for the Canes.

The point is to beat your chest about going down into Florida and stealing a recruit whom Meyer badly wanted from underneath the big, bad Gators. Is it immature? Sure. But the only constituency Lane Kiffin cares about right now is 15- and 16-year-old football players, and that is not exactly a demographic that's going to be worried about how immature it might have been.

All of this is aimed at the kids. Attitude, high energy, trash talking, swagger. And the way recruiting has been going for Kiffin & Co. so far, it certainly seems to be working.

You guys reaching like this only proves my point.

There was absolutely no value to UT in making this remark. It was typical of him so far, just running his mouth without thinking.

Add those to Verci's post, and the puzzle is complete.

We're not trying to recruit 50 year old lawyers. :p

Whereas Urban calling out Shane Matthews was calculated? Again, the principal is a Gator alumnus that's acting tough at the expense of his students. How does that kind of behavior not validate Lane's accusation?

WTF does knowing exactly where Pahokee is have to do with anything?

I honestly don't care if my football coach runs his mouth without thinking. He's a football coach, not an administrator or professor. This kind of foot-in-the-mouth stuff bothers me a whole lot less than if he were doing something like, say, deliberately lying to a QB recruit about how he planned to play Tim Tebow at linebacker.

By virtually all accounts and actions to date, Kiffin is just brutally honest. Think Urban's alter ego.

That's why CLK gets under CUM's skin so much. The whole Catholic guilt thing just makes it that much harder for CUM. Poor fella is getting psychologically destroyed by honesty and guilt.

I am hopeful when all is said and done that CLK will pi$$ off a lot more UF Alumni besides the Pahokee principal with some good old fashion a$$ kickings.

He doesn't have to try and become the biggest A-hole in the conference. Let Spurrier keep that title. Let's win some games first.

You think it "worked" on Nu'keese? I think the kid realized that he would be second fiddle to a better recruit, Andre Debose.

There was no/is no pipeline from Pahokee to UF. One player in 30 years (Janoris Jenkins '08). Nu'keese shouldn't become the only player we get because our coaches piss people off. That's stupid.
