It is, That guy is great! He used that line you posted earlier on me at my wedding.
I have found there are two groups of people who use that line with amazing frequency: Attorneys and AAU basketball guys. I am one and was the other. It's engrained in my psyche.

Hrrmmm. This plot is thickening. Maybe there was something to the idea that school officials couldn't be trusted with Nuke's LOI....

This definitely doesn't look good that a UF alum is using his official powers to bar a UF rival from school access. Unless he has a very, very good reason... and no LG, not that his feelings are hurt.... then he had better start a hasty retreat.

Since I love to draw wrestling analogies, Kiffin and staff right now have the outlaw cache of the Outsiders with the cool of the 4 Hosemen. Dried up old Mr. Beldings may not like them, but kids are going to flock to them.

Yeah, kids sure do like firemen.

The principal is probably a Gator homer who hates UT anyway---screw him! UT can find a lot more talent in Florida than this little school in the middle of nowhere.

This is interesting to say the least. Florida obviously feels threatened by UT's staff coming to Florida and nabbing big time recruits. Makes sense considering we are Florida's biggest rival in the SEC. I hope CLK and staff keep working hard and get back to competing for national championships. :cool2:

There is a reason the Pahokee players are very high on TN(Nuke is telling them what he saw and felt on our campus) and the coaches and school board members are not fond of us...................because Kiffin was on the money. I would have kept my mouth shut but it doesn't take away from the fact that those players are usually steered to FL schools unless they dont want the kid.

Nu'keese had some brass balls signing with us, you know the pressure to be a gator was huge. Looks like he might be a real trailblazer.

I scooped that article in this thread. I guess I missed my calling as a journalist.

I think if your going to use "Wrestling Analogies"
The proper name for the principal would have been "Purple Blob" from Billy Madison.

Cuz Quite frankly Belding had a lil bit of spine.

If the student didnt have a problem with the coaches from UT visiting, I dont see how the principal has any say in the matter, provided the coaches werent causing a disruption or anything. Maybe the principal would like to explain why he is interfering with one of his students opportunity for a free education.

Are you kidding? That's my alma mater. The principal is protecting his coaches, students and his community from the same BS that Kiffin pulled with Nuke. CLK told the kid to lie and mislead his own coach. I know Coach Thompson, and he has only ever supported his kids, Nukeese included. The coach isn't even a Gator fan.

Kiffin was wrong about the "pipeline" from Pahokee to UF, because there hasn't been a player for 30 years from my high school to sign with UF until Janoris Jenkins last year. There's no big coup. FSU and Miami get all of our high school players even Anquan Boldin.

Imagine that's your small town and your friends that work at that school. Until UT can earn the respect of that town and the school, players can visit any school they want, but Kiffin & Co won't get to visit.

Phil never would've crossed that line.

the coach might not be a gator fan, but the principal is...

But for as much negative press as Lane Kiffin has received, nobody seems to be pointing out the fact that he may have been right all along.

Ariel Alejo isn't simply the principal of Pahokee High School, but he is also a graduate of the University of Florida (and a Gator fan). How much of a Gator fan is he? His personal page links to Pahokee's index page through a Florida Gator icon.

I personally do think its interfering with a kids opportunity to get a better education...Regardless of what coach Kiffin did or didn't do the principal there should have thicker skin and not ruin a kids chance at getting to talk to some of these coaches...I actually wonder if a lawsuit couldn't be filed...Seems there are lawsuits for everything else under the sun.

Thank God the fine citizens of Pahokee, Florida have this high school principal to protect them from dangerous roving gangs of UT coaches. GMAFB.

You mean the sainted Coach Thompson can't protect himself and needs a douchebag principal to run interference for him? Must be one weak man.
