Ivan Maisel is reporting that Ole Miss is headed to Cotton, and UT is going to Outback...per Houston Nutt.
I hope it's Northwestern. Wisconsin is just boring to watch.

Well we better go the Outback now then! There wouldn't be anyway we could fall below this is there?

As boring as Wisconsin is, I'd rather play them than Northwestern.

It is hard to get excited about playing any Big 10 team really. Their brand of football will put anyone to sleep.

Assuming LSU to Citrus and OM to Cotton, the Outback can pick from UTK, AU, UGA, SC. Arky or KY. All of those schools are within one conference loss of one another so all are equally eligible. It'll come down to which school the selection committee believes will bring the most revenue to their city and, to a lesser extent, what will be the best matchup for TV purposes.

the outback is almost turning into what the citrus bowl was for ut in the 90's. if we go there this year, our last 3 bowl trips will have been in tampa

I just wish it was the Cotton. Everyone is talking on other threads about recruiting time in FL, but I am more a fan of getting into the ears of Corey Nelson, Tyler Stephenson and Ahmad Dixon. Also if we could get some time to visit and set an offical for Darius White and Lache Seastrunk.

I wish it was Penn State.
Iowa getting a BCS bid is an absolute farce.

Me too. A little vengence would be nice. I was sitting in the stands that day "Fumbling Foster" cost UT the game (Outback Bowl). Made me sick. Was also there when UT beat Wisconsin. I could watch that again.

Id rather recruit Fla but I would like to see a change in venue. Tampa's field is awful 2 me and a 11 am start est sux.

I'd be happy with the Outback or the Chick-fil-A bowl, although the Outback game will be a pretty crappy match up. Plus, UT has played both Wisconsin and Northwestern recently in bowl games which I see as a negative.

UT doesn't recruit a lot in Texas so the Cotton bowl wasn't very high on my list. It was also a long-shot since the Cotton doesn't get first pick of eastern division teams. The Outback would have to pass on UT and then the Cotton pick them.
