The whole article was great. But that last paragraph was awesome. That is exactly what I saw. James didn't like that much. I could only hope that was right in front of recruits.

Sweet. Excellent game. I just wonder what it would have been like with a simple average QB

yes :eek:lol:
Late in the second quarter, Florida led 10-6. Tebow had plenty of time to throw, and he fired a rope toward James, who appeared to be wide open in the end zone. Before James could cradle the ball, Tennessee's Jackson, a player Kiffin swiped from LSU, knocked James into the second year of his NFL career.

be real we got beat bottom line,we really coulda won if we woulda maybe spread recievers out a little, seems to me lane played to not lose by 30 or so like fulmer and the other coaches did,to make him look better, but besides that we had chances, but we were predictable with run run run,run run.

got beat botytom line,ui think myers thot that when he took over,no he won title next year, and 2 now with florida.my point is u play to win the game, not to not to lose by 30 or 40,like former coaches.

No, he played to win. I think he was more worried about what would happen if he had put the game more in to Cromptons hands. Hes mainly worried about the qb position, that is really easy to see.

Before James could cradle the ball, Tennessee's Jackson, a player Kiffin swiped from LSU, knocked James into the second year of his NFL career. The play took place in front several dozen recruits. Before all is said and done, most will consider Florida and Tennessee. The Gators had hoped a blowout might convince those players that Florida will dominate the SEC eastern division in the present and in the future. Now, those players may wonder if, in spite of his bluster, Kiffin is actually building something real on Rocky Top.

"I wanted to win the game," Kiffin said. "I didn't come down here to cover the spread or have a moral victory. I probably could have even kept it closer than it was if I'd continued to stay conservative there."

You do realize, any pass had had a 50/50 chance of being picked, right?

i know that but, when down by 17 with 12 minutes to go in 4th,u have to go with throwing not running draw plays on 1st and 25 and 2nd 25 and 3rd and 20.in the 4th down by 17,seems he didnt wanna take chance with them running score up,but who cares if we woulda lost by 24 or 31 least we go down fighting, with throwin with crompton, and losin by 1 or 40 u still get a loss, and if teebow wasnt trying to be a runner, not fumbling woulda been worse in 4th.point im trying to make is get the offense in rythem, not running running runnin running in 4th down by 17.

As a gator, that was one of the least satisfying wins I can remember. The most recent one like this was last year at the Miami game but other than that I just don't remember other wins feeling this lousy. Our offense just didn't have it yet, but the same thing happened last year so there is no reason to panic yet.
