Yea but I see him goin to the NFL. They're saying he is a possible 1st round pick, 2nd at the worst if he comes out this year. Kid has great hands and size.

Thompkins is fast and big. His highlights are fantastic.

I'd say we wait until we have someone in the top 12 of receiving in the SEC before we declare ourselves WR U.

Stocker is staying i think, i can only hope we are wide receiver u again, but what does wide receiver u have to do with tight ends and rb's anyways? they catch the ball, but they aren't wide recievers man.

I think it is a bit hard to declare it WR U when your top receiver is at 400 yards. I'm not saying Florida is any better right now, but UT is not WR U IMO.

Stocker is not coming out early. No way he is even considering it. He is not in the top 15 TE's on the draft boards.

The moniker WRU came from guys like Stanley Morgan, Anthony Morgan, Willie Gault, Larry Seivers, Alvin Harper, Tim McGee, Anthony Miller, and Carl Pickens. Those others listed came to UT due to that reputation, and added their names to the list of great receivers.

None of our current crop of WRs has reached the level of these. Gerald Jones may get there.

You are right but UT's WR's have come on really nice of late and if you are a Vol fan you have to like the class they're putting together.

On Stocker, a guy on ESPNU commented that UT's coaches said he had 1-2 rnd potential... not that he was there or was coming out this year.

Stocker needs to be a better blocker before he reaches that plateau.
