Tennessee Baby names

You, sir, are correct.

Neyland turns 8 months old Friday.

I think Vader named his little girl Neyland.

Very old thread I realize, but just curious how you decided to pronounces Neyland as your daughters name. Did you go with (knee-land) or (nay-land)? My wife is pregnant with our second daughter and we are considering Neyland for her name and just wondering how other fans pronounced it as a girls name.

It is properly pronounced Knee-land but you will have her called both whichever one you choose...

My sons name is Neyland... and actually my wife came up with it cause she saw it in a baby book spelled Neylan.. but I talked her into spelling it with a "d" and hen told her why.. lol...
It spelled without the "d" kid Turkish for "our wish granted"

in honor of the General. We spell it with a C instead of an S though.
I already have two boys and me and my wife are planning our next child in a couple of years. I told her that if it is another boy i want to name him Neyland. So far she is having none of it. If their are any of you who have named your children after our great athletes or coaches share and tell me how you talked your wife into it. I have a 7 year old neice named Peyton too since we are gonna share

If the baby is born while Dooley is still our coach, Phive Ansevn ::last name:: would be fitting.

Knee-land. I am quick to correct those that screw it up (sometimes family)

Neyland is 4 and a half now, BTW.

About to get another Golden Retreiver and was thinking naming him something dealing with Tennessee. My GR I have now is named Shula, Dolphins Coach. Any advice?

mine's middle name is Reese. Captured both my grandfather's and the General's middle name

My first was born 11 hours ago and HER name is, of course, Peyton. Maybe not original, but IMO the best. (Sorry Titans fans)

we named our little boy Knox Martin.. yeah yeah i know Kiffin named his kid Knox, my wifes family actually used it as a middle name many years ago so we thought it was neat. Her maiden name is Martin so we chose that as the middle. Sounds like a QB to me...
