I'm not entirely sure I understand. PETA is now against the existence of bulldogs because they have decided that life is too tough on them? Should the ones currently alive be put down? I wonder how many animals would be harmed in the creation of a RoboUGA.

PETA wants Georgia to either stop using live UGAs (the bulldog) or change to a robotic dog. These mascot dogs live better than we do. Crazy people out there. Guess we need to sharpen Smoky's teeth.....:)

Im so SICK of PETA!!! They think they are the F'n FBI or somethin. Bulldogs are well known for not living long lives and like MoodyChem said, UGA I - VII lived better than we do. A robodog,. gimme a break!!

PETA sucks....I post on the Philadelphia Eagles MB pretty regularly, and those clowns showed up after Mike Vick was signed and we gave them hell over there. They talk big, but they apparently didn't have the ball to show up to a game in numbers greater than eight.

Consider the source y'all. They just had Tony Gonzalez of the Falcons do a photo shoot with his wife in the nude under their "I'd Rather Go Naked Than Wear Fur" campaign. Now, who among us really thinks that an NFL superstar owns a car that doesn't have LEATHER seats? They're idiots just looking to get their organization on the news.

If the people that raise the UGA dogs would stop inbreeding the heck out of those dogs, maybe they wouldn't have the problem.

Also, English Bulldogs only live to an average age of around 7 anyway.

I love animals as much as the next guy, own 2 dogs.

But the Mike Vick situation was so overblown by the PETA blowhards is not even funny. You would have thought he murdered a family of seven with a chainsaw.....Ridiculous that some of them said he should never be readmitted to the NFL.

Make no mistake Mike Vick was guilty of animal cruelty and of being an idiot. But to suggest that he should be denied the opportunity to work and make money is ridiculous. The man served his time and as far as I am concerned should have a clean slate.
