thats nice but preseason rankings mean very little...look at florida two years ago when they were unranked, look at UCONN and LSU this year

Didn't read the article either, but I have an observation. The BB team under Pearl has finished the season ranked higher then the FB team has in both of Pearls first 2 seasons. From the looks of things thats not going to change anytime soon.

I really was trying to be upbeat about UT bball future, pointing out that you have something really good to look forward to next year and it turned into, yeah, but that just shows how much Fulmer sucks.

Its almost as though any positive for UT has to be dismissed by its fans because of the Fulmer factor. That or its used to point out that it would be even better if it weren't for Fulmer.

i know.....

and you're correct, right, wrong or indifferent.......until the football team does something great, anything else will be followed with a "yeah but....." in regards to football.....and i don't necessarily agree with that stance on TN athletics...they should be on separate ground, but unfortunately, people will use CBP and his success as an example to show CPF's shortcomings.....

Yeah, but one of those teams was up and coming, and nobody knew what to expect, the other was coached by all-american moron Brady. I don't think there's a person out there who doesn't expect more from Pearl next year.:rock:

:lolabove: Yup, I'm guilty. I caught myself thinking, "Now when are we going to get a football coach to complement Pearl?" If anything, I think Pearl has rubbed off positively on the rest of our coaches. Don't want to be shown up by the Pearl!

Are you implying we should expect fulmer in body paint since Pearl has rubbed off on him?
