The freshman comes to the University of Tennessee from Texas, where football is famously a way of life from the womb to the grave. After growing up in that environment, the passion of fans on an SEC campus has him right at home.

..."It feels like home, that's one of the biggest things that brought me here," Dormady said of Tennessee. "The people here are always welcoming. The coaches and players are here for you, the whole staff around this place has been amazing."

..."Football is such a priority here," Dormady said. "In high school, a lot of guys are just playing for fun. Here, everyone is playing for a national championship, we're all working for that goal."

Antonian coach Van Fuschak compared Dormady to a couple of quarterbacks he faced when he was the coach at MacArthur — Texas Tech’s Kliff Kingsbury (New Braunfels) and the New Orleans Saints’ Drew Brees (Austin Westlake).

Fuschak said Dormady’s bigger than those players, can throw the ball like them and is deceptively quick, too. “A couple of times that he ran against us, he had gains on us,” Fuschak said. “Not only can he throw the ball, but he also has decent speed.”

I wonder if Butch knows that he doesn't fit his system?

So I just watched his intro video done by UT sports and he is wearing number 12 in it. Did Peterman give up his number?

If he is a good enough player to earn the starting job, then the system is changed based on the QB. That's how it works. Did the same thing with Worley.

Low post count explain this??

PS Bass. Blue font = sarcasm

With Worley, it seems like Bajakian ran the same basic offense but with one exception. The requisite mobile QB wasn't real mobile. Worley went through the motions of the read option but with only one option; hand the damned thing off EVERY time. After the 50th time, the suspense factor had been completely siphoned off.

In all fairness, we did look downfield more often with Worley but that could have been a function of losing our deep threat receivers to injury as the season progressed.

I agree it would be great to scheme according to personnel but I'm not sold on the fact that they actually did it last season.

Running game decent behind oline decent= qb play good if qb good.

I hope he does great. We have some good competition at qb now.

As I understand it, they can both wear 12 as long as they're not on the field together. Since they're both QBs, I doubt they will be.

Dobbs is the man but really like all three of our freshmen coming in. Surely one will have some star power.
