Tennessee #3 in AP poll

So awesome, after getting screwed by the coaches IMO (though I did anticipate it), I really wanted the #3 ranking. It would be great if come the Memphis game it's #1 vs. #2. Has a TN basketball team EVER participated in a game like that?

No, we've never been ranked above #4 until today.

I don't see Memphis falling to anyone before they play us but we have a mine field called the SEC that we have to make it through. But your right...what a great night if we were 1 and 2.

They were behind us in the AP poll... I would have been livid had they jumped us.

Wow, who would have ever thought this? Just no meltdowns like in the Green era. I don't think any Pearl team will do that.

Good stuff. Now remember guys the key is not to get to #3 but to hold onto it. UK is the 1st step

UT's SOS >>>>> Duke's

What UT has done thus far (7-1 against RPI top 50) is more impressive than UNC or Duke, but give me the truth serum and I'll tell you I think UNC is better than UT.

I'm surprised we passed UNC in the AP but not at all surprised that we're 5th in the coaches' poll. Coaches don't like Pearl (that must have something to do with it).
