Tenn WRs

We threw to him 3 times against UT-Martin and at least 2 of them were bad drops, zero were completions.

Last year, he was thrown to a fair amount. I imagine with the security blanket of G. Jones being out, you can expect for Simms to look at Stocker more. Probably early, too.

Bray completed two passes to Stocker, but I follow your point. Yes, we'll be throwing a lot to Stocker.

He caught one from Bray but didn't look like the Stocker from last year..but its good to have a NFL tight end on our team.He will be a big factor against ducks. Simms is the player that I am most worried about because his biggest game was UT Martin. GBO!!:dance2::rock:

Zach Rogers?

Yeah... he's a possession WR who won the 100 m at TN state and posted the best 40 time at the Athens, GA Nike Camp as a recruit a couple of years ago. But I'm sure an SEC level S&C program has slowed him down some.

To answer the OP, Jones who is the most "skilled" WR UT has is out. He is also the least naturally athletic of the top 6 WR's.
-Z Rogers (So) is 6' 180 lbs and can fly.
-D Moore (Sr) is 6'1" 195 lbs and is probably a step faster. He was a state champion hurdler in TX IIRC
-M Milton (Fr) is 6'6" 220 lbs and ran out of the wildcat much of his time in HS (4*, #20 WR by Rivals)
- D Rogers (Fr) 6'3" 215 beast of an athlete, legit 4.4 guy with a 41" vertical. (Rivals' #2 WR, 5*)
-J Hunter (Fr) has been the most impressive of the Fr according to practice reports. 6'4" 180. Legit 4.4. Tremendous track athlete that qualified for the IAAF Junior World Championships in the Long Jump. (Rivals 4*, #8 WR)

In other words... the most "potential" greatness the Ducks will see this year except for USC. No experience.

Got ya, thanks I just hope we don't make them look like superheros the way we did Pryor in the Rose Bowl.

If we could talk you into a track meet rather than a football game we'd feel more comfortable. I know the Ducks are fast but on the stopwatch UT is probably faster. The difference is your guys have proven they can take that speed to the field and make it count. Our guys haven't except for Moore who is gimpy.

I think people are jumpy about our WR's because on paper they are as good a group as you could ask regardless of conference but for nearly all of them this will be their first real action. Lots of fingers crossed because they may or may not have the best thrown balls coming their way.

Our number one receiver is Tauren Poole. He's got soft hands, good speed and vision. For some reason the staff keeps lining him up in the backfield. It's very confusing.

Moore is a play maker. Don't know much about zach Rodgers, other then the fact he is white ands rocking a mullet

problem is no one to really throw it to them.
Matt Simms stares down his wr's and any decent cb..in other words not UTM..will get their fair shot at picks..

we have quality wr's and rb's...no quality qb. and no depth

^ This is how I perceived the question as well. Too many duck homers on here talking Sh$T

this.

the ducks need to worry about #27 as well, Oku. #1 all purpose back in the nation out of HS. Legit speed, good size at 5'11 195, shifty and great hands. watch for Chaney to open up the playbook and use him out of the backfield and in the slot. he is a home run threat.

So what are your wide receivers like? Whos going to kill us? Are they burners? route runners? possession guys?

Dont mind most of them, they are well meaning just a bit tired of everyone expecting us to get killed. I'm wondering what kind of fans the Ducks are on the road? Normally well mannered, or drunk dumba$$es?

I'd expect well mannered. You aren't the Huskies or things might be different ...:)

Ya don't marry or do business with the taildraggers from Seattle. It's a successful weekend if you can keep them off the white carpet and away from grandma's leg. Always got to spread a lot of newspapers on the floors when they come to town.

We'd be ok with your beavers though...lol

Luke Stocker is the number one tight end in the country, shouldn't be too easy to get it to him this weekend with Gerald and Denarius out

He!!, we don't really know much about them either considering our best receivers are limited this week from injury...and our best senior wideout (Jones) is out for this game. I guess we'll all find out Saturday.

WR report according to Dooley's latest observations:

-Z Rogers (So) is 6' 180 lbs just a soph. but can wash, rinse repeat with the best of them. Rumored to have washed himself white.
-D Moore (Sr) is 6'1" 195 lbs and is probably just a step cleaner. Tends to stop short tight spots but very good in the open areas. Good speed never runs out of hot water.
-M Milton (Fr) is 6'6" 220 lbs outstanding cleanliness but ran out of hot water much of his time in HS (4*, #20 WR by Irish Springs)
-D Rogers (Fr) 6'3" 215 beast of an athlete, rumor is he stinks and we may need may have to coach this guy up but should shine in the NFL.
-J Hunter (Fr) has been the most impressive of the Fr according to coaching reports. 6'4" 180. Legit zestfully clean wr.
