So what are your wide receivers like? Whos going to kill us? Are they burners? route runners? possession guys?

They all suck and the Oregon defense is far superior according to you guys...the wrs are so scared they do not want to show up.

I asked a simple question, I'm not sure who's been talking smack, but I think you are a little sensitive. My question was legit, no bs. Nothing more, I was curious.

D moore could be considered a burner..he has been our big play guy the last cpl years. G Jones has been our most consistent route runner/possesion guy. Justin Hunter may be one of the most gifted athletes in recent UT history. D Rogers was rated as the #2 receiver in the country coming out of hs last year. Z Rogers is a smart reciever that has decent hands. M Milton is 6'6..enough said there..

yeah. havent you heard? we are going to get beat by 56

Personally, I've got the game at 28-21 Ducks. I had to give 12 points to a Vol friend just to get him to place a friendly wager. I don't know anyone talking 56. If someone is, it's probably just to give you a hard time. No legit poster thinks that's realistic.

Too bad they won't have to worry about Jones.

Our WR's are young and inexperienced, and scared, and small. Come to think of it none of them have hands, they are all sporting nubs with plastic fingers in their gloves to make it look like they have hands.

They all have speed.
Moore and Z Rogers are small quick guys. Moore is the burner. Z Rogers is blazing fast but just in his second year and didn't get a lot of playing time last year.
Hunter 6'4" and D Rogers 6'3" are taller but still very fast and are tremendously talented. Both are true freshmen.
Milton 6'6" is another true freshmen. Doesn't have the same speed but has height for the endzone.

Lots of potential in the youngsters (D. Rogers, J. Hunter).
Z. Rogers is fast.
D. Moore is a playmaker.
We will miss G. Jones.

I know u were serious, but the verbage of the question just came across as a little smack-talkish.

I think Denarius Moore is going to be the go-to guy since Gerald Jones is out w/broken hand. We have yet to determine which of the fab freshmen are going to step up yet. UT Martin game doesn't count.

Our #1 WR is out with injury. Our #1A WR (Denarius Moore) is limited in practice this week but will play. He's got some speed and has scored his fair share of TDs over the top. Had two TDs last week, one on a 40+ yard catch in which he got behind the defense, one on a 58 yard end around. A couple highlights from the past: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=guftlr14Pwk and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mULAQhuFpDo

Our #2 WR this week will be redshirt freshman Zach Rogers, who is known for his speed despite being white. We don't really know much about him.

Also in the rotation will be two highly-hyped freshmen. Justin Hunter is 6'4 and is an Olympic quality track guy that the coaches have LOVED during camp. Da'Rick Rogers is 6'2, was ranked the #2 WR recruit in the nation, and is I believe more of a possession guy. Obviously, we haven't seen much from #2-4 on this week's rotation.

Luke Stocker is a sure-handed tight end (except last week) who could legitimately be an All-American with a good season. We're a bit surprised that he came back for his senior year, but he's made some big catches in the past. See: YouTube - Luke Stocker

And y'all know our backup tight end. We don't though. We'll probably run some 2 TE sets, but I don't know if Rivera is a pass-catcher.

My appology, it wasn't my intent.

Everyone keeps talking about the Ducks speed but my VOLS squad is fast also!!! Our WR's are tall and athletic and all have SPEED!!!! Gerald Jones is the slowest of our WR's and he ain't slow. They are smart and run good routes. Our OL is LARGE & PHYSICAL(just inexperienced) our LB's are quick and physical & our DB's are FAST & extremely athletic!!!!!!! The only way my VOLS can loose this game is if they turn the ball over!!! GO VOLS:dance2::dance2::dance2::dance2::dance2::dance2

I think the closer we get to kickoff the tensor people are getting. Probably more smack as well. It's understandable, happens all the time.

Luke Stocker is an All-SEC tight end, he is going to be a huge target for us and will be needed if the offense is going to move the ball (blocking and receiving)

Do you throw to the tight end much? Is that Stocker? (sp)

We threw to him 3 times against UT-Martin and at least 2 of them were bad drops, zero were completions.

Last year, he was thrown to a fair amount. I imagine with the security blanket of G. Jones being out, you can expect for Simms to look at Stocker more. Probably early, too.

This sounds like a serious condition, how long has he had it?
