I think it should be announced tomorrow, but I'm speculating it will be either a LF 12:30 kick or ESPN will pick it up as a night game. CBS is doing a doubleheader with Bama-Auburn and FSU-Florida from 1:30-8:00. The LF and ESPN spots are the only other openings for the telecast.

The other games that day are UGA-Ga Tech, I'm thinking this could be an ABC 3:30 game since its at GT. Clemson-S. Carolina, which has been an ESPN night broadcast, but with S. Carolina finishing so poorly they might move it up to a Noon ESPN kick since most of the Big10 games will be done by then. And also Wake-Vandy, but this may not be televised.

Arkansas-LSU and the Egg Bowl are on that Friday and are on CBS and LF.

I think the ESPN slot is very possible, we may both be ranked, and if KY beats GA, I would say it is a lock.

Oh if Kentucky beats UGA and The Vols beat VU,
you can bet The battle for the Beer Barrell will replace the Iron Bowl

We played the '91 game in Lexington in the late afternoon/early evening on ESPN. I think it was a 5:30 start.

The chances of CBS replacing Alabama-Auburn with Tennessee-Kentucky=Slightly less probable than a Ron Paul-Dennis Kucinich battle for the presidency in '08.

Even though Bama-UT is not "as" big as Bama-AU, the UK-UF game replaced the Bama-UT rivalry game on CBS.

I doubt UT-UK will replace UA-AU, but if UT and UK both win this coming week, I find it hard to believe two ranked teams playing for the right to be in the SEC Championship game will end up on LF.

i agree, the Auburn/Alabama game means nothing outside the state of Alabama and the UT-UK game has potential to have a lot at stake.. It would be a bad decision if this were the case

unfortunately, CBS doesn't have the luxury of waiting on the results of next week's games. They have to decide tomorrow.

They stopped calling the game this a few years ago after that Kentucky player was involved in a MVA while DUI and some peoplle were killed.

i think we'll end up playing the ESPN night spot. I would rather play UK during the day because night games tend to be too close for my blood pressure to handle. I sincerely hope it's LF at 12.30

Basilio mentioned today that CBS is considering a split-schedule next Sat. -- with UT/UTK kicking off at 5. Would be interesting. Would be better than a 12:30 start, although will be quite cool I imagine. Anyone know when this game time announcement will be made?
