The McCluster kid is a shrimp...........that flat out owned D's (especially ours) when he was given his chance......small running backs are awesome......look at Darren Sproles with the S.D. Chargers...5'6"/185 lbs......and he'll carve a defenses' ankles like a Ginsu knife!

The thread title says "may" walk on.

When will we know for sure?

If so, I'll be rooting for the kid.

Give him Brice Brown's Scholie. at least this kid wants to be here.

I got a question on how that works, since we're way below the 85 scholarship player limit could we go ahead and give him a scholly if he decided to walk on? Or is there a time limit before he could be eligible for a scholly?

walk on tony ,if you show the talent you might get scolly in a year or two.i hate seeing tennessee boys and knoxville natives go to bama ,auburn, kentucky and other places.

CDD should never turn down an In-State kid like this. This will help start in putting that "fence" around Tennessee!!

CDD will never turn down a walk-on unless there is some kind of excess baggage with the player. Even then, he will take it on a case by case basis. Remember, CDD was a walk-on at UVA as was his brother-in-law.

I don't know about an every down sort of guy, but Holliday (5'5", 160 lbs) that played for LSU was used (quite well) as a change of pace rb and played alot at wr. I think I remember him best as a punt/ko returner.

Holliday has Olympic-type track speed. I dunno how fast this guy is

He's the best high school player I have seen in person.

Really,I have seen A.Douglas and Tyler Maples. They both where better than him.Devrin Young is a very good player also. Rogan was a way better player in high school than Toney. However Toney is still a great player.
