1. Forget this game ever happen. Tell the team to move on and focus on finishing the season on a three game winning streak. Let this one go.

2. Watching the Sullin twins get owned over and over again was truly painful to watch. There was seven or eight times they were just bowled over.

3. The day Michael Palardy gets here, is the day when Vol fans can scream hallelujah. I think Lincoln/Cunningham are the worst kicker/punter combo in the history of Vol football.

4. Good day from Crompton. He didn't have much to work with today. With the defense sucking, and the running game inconsistent, he played well. That guy he missed on fourth down though was a killer.

5. Herman Lathers is not the answer at MLB. It looks like it's gonna be rough from that position. He was out of position all game.

6. I thought the tackling today was the worst in the last five years. That was rough to watch. Even Berry was missing tackles.

7. Our WR's have really improved. It's too bad these guys could not have been healthy all year. They are starting to hit their stride.

8. I know I have already knocked Lincoln, but i'm going to do it again. I don't care if it's hamstring is still bothering him, how the hell can you not get the ball up over someone's damn helmet? My goodness...

9. We need to hit the TE's more. They are real weapons and we could use that to help open up the middle of the field.

10. Look, just forget this game ever happened. It's a small setback. With all the distractions this week, and the injuries to our LB's corps, it was a recipe for disaster. Forget the game, move on, let's continue the annual wins of Kentucky & Vandy, and get a decent bowl.

Go Vols!!! :hi:

all good points but you will not get these fair-weather morons to forget about this they can not do one of the most important things in football. have a short memory!!

Here is another thought, our DB's need to learn to shed blocks on these screens. The past few weeks i've watched them get burned time and again because they can't shed the block of the WR.

How bout one thought. Adjust in the second half to who smoked you in the first. 9 players should have keyed one.

the team should regroup after a tough week. We played against a fired up team who had something to prove (to their former HC and the world).

Maybe one of the players is so mad when he gets home that he saws a car in half (ala Hacksaw Reynolds - who we could surely use right now to fill the void in our depleted linebacker corps). I think the team gets refocused and takes out a lot of frustrations on Vandy, then takes care of business in Kentucky.

I immediately went outside, did some yard work, took a nap, and I'm over it. Not a good day for our D. Let's finish strong and get some momentum into the off season.

Speaking of tight ends, did Stocker even play today? I don't recall hearing his name once.

1.I think it is safe to say the team was not as focused as they needed to be. Thus coming back to the issues of the week.
2. We have issues at LB. I felt, that if we struggled on D today, this would be the reason.
3. We were handled on both sides of the line.
4. JC is becoming the strength of the O, and not the running game. (which in my opinion, while good to see JC playing well, this team has to run the ball better.)
5. Eric Berry did not play well today. I think JJ being out, put even more weight on Eric.
6. Our kicking game is bad.
7. Nutt better enjoy the talent he has. He will not replenish, what he inherited.
8. For the first time this year, we looked flat.
9. Our TEs will be a big factor, in this O.
10. Vandy should be a win. KY will not be a gimme.

CLK needs to get this deal figured out with the arrested players, and put some closure on it. The quicker the better. Whatever, it is, that he decides.

Agree on all, but give Lathers a few more games to not overpursue. If he still does it then you're dead on:)

Great point. Last few weeks we have been torched on that outside screen.

Thank God Thompson is ok and if we had to get pasted by someone, at least it wasn't bama or the gators. I agree, we need to get on and get over it! Let the team know we are with them because I'm sure they are not feeling great right now. I too hope they resolve the situation with the arrested players quickly. GO VOLS!!

:lolabove: This is the key one!!! We will be alright while its frustrating, just think we will win 7 games this year and just a few plays from winning possibly 9 or 10.
GO VOLS!!!

I'm thinking a ticker-tape parade is in order to welcome Palardy to Knoxville. Anyone know the date?

Everybody forgets in Saban's first year at Bama they went 6-6 and lost to ULM. In Urban's first year Fla got boatraced in a game at Bama. Ole Miss was fresh because they have had about 4 bye weeks playing Northern Arizona, UAB, Memphis, and Southeastern Louisiana. Thats why McCluster looked like its the first game of the season.

I kept thinking he'd need to take oxygen at some point, but he didn't even slow down enough to do that.

Here is another thought, our DB's need to learn to shed blocks on these screens. The past few weeks i've watched them get burned time and again because they can't shed the block of the WR.

It's been a big problem since Memphis game. As long as they can get to the edge, either by hand-off or swing pass, they can easily get 1st downs or more.

I think it's a combination of things: DBs can't disengage from the block, LB out of position, can't get to the spot quick enough, missing tackles, etc. Our D can pass rush when the offense has to throw the ball, but they can't provide enough penetration overall.

It seems as annual as Thanksgiving the Vols play in a game they're likely to win, should win, most of the heads expect them to win, and they lose in wow fashion. The only thing that bothers me is this guy McCluster where the heck did this guy come from? I've never heard of him before today and probably will never hear the name again. Maybe it's a good lesson to leave in the minds of the players for next season, a good object lesson for everyone we already knew...any given day.

All good points, especially the part about putting this game behind them. Keep your heads up, Vols, and focus on Vandy. It's been a rough week for the Vols but it's over. I still think we beat Vandy and Ky.
