If/when the LVs make it back to OKC for the softball world series, tell me the things to do and see in OKC, please. And about tickets, are they hard to get and where should I look to sit? And especially, what do I want to avoid?

Not a bad seat really. Should be able to buy ticket not sold out most of time. The museum on site is pretty cool. We stayed at Norman and traffic wasn't terrible. Have a good time!!! I would sit in outfield before I sat in back up high but that's just me.:eek:k:

Live here in Edmond, Ok which is a suberb to OKC. Fun stuff includes Bricktown which is downtown and has lots of great places to eat as well as a canal to walk around, Frontier City is an amusement park that is fun, the bombing memorial is worth seeing, and depending on what you enjoy just google OKC tourism. Be prepared for lots of wind as well as a good time. Go Vols!!

I like to sit closer to the action where you can see the pitches and athlete interaction. We bought tickets online at stubhub last year and during the Monica run we bought them outside the stadium. Both times we paid a little more than face for them but they were on the first base side about 10 rows up from the dugout. Awesome seats for me. Also buy a parking ticket...parking a mile away and waiting on a bus to pick you up wasnt as bad as I thought it would be but it made us have to factor that time in and the parking pass last year was only like $20 for all the time. We stayed north of ok city and it was cheaper and not a long drive. We loved watching all the teams. If you love softball, it is some of the best ball played. Also meeting the other fans was great. All friendly and most come back year after year. It was awesome and if the Vols go back...we will be there again! GO VOLS!

I am in Moore about 20 minutes from the stadium...it's a solid stadium...hot time of year here in Oklahoma...bring the sunblock for sure. Things to do around the area:

1) OKC Memorial and Museum (Alfred P Murrah Bldg)
2) Pops in Arcadia off of Route 66 is a great place to grab a burger and see the old HWY
3) OKC Zoo
4) National Cowboy Hall of Fame
5) Bricktown...loads of eats/bars, etc (Toby Keiths I love this Bar and Grill, Mickey Mantle's Steakhouse, Cattlemen's Steakhouse, Bricktown Brewery, etc.)
6) OKC Redhawks (Triple A team of the Houston Astros)
7) National Softball Hall of Fame
8) A few surrounding casinos (Windstar, Remington Park, etc.)
9) Remington Park Horse Racing/casino
10) White Water Bay...outdoor water park
11) Frontier City Amusement Park
12) OKC State Capitol
13) Stockyard City
14) Penn Square Mall
15) Warren Theatre in Moore

Avoid...all major interstates during the evening rushhour...430ish to 6 pmish...its like NASCAR...

Hope this helps ya out
