Wow. Tegan was simply electric. He walked the first hitter but zero after that…15Ks, 4 hits, 0 runs, and 1 BB in 7 innings. Unreal! On a night when UT needed a big performance, he put them on his back! He honestly reminded me of Roger Clemens or Dwight Gooden back in the day. It was the best pitching performance I’ve ever witnessed in person—college or MLB. Thank you Tegan Kuhns!

It’s a thing of beauty when a pitcher can have the other team so off balance and all of his pitches were working. TK was in total control!

I hate I missed it but had a dinner scheduled and didn’t get home until he was out of the game. Huge win and GO VOLS let’s take this series today.

I haven’t seen a single shout out to Coach Reynolds , he had Kuhns locked in and ready to go with a great game plan and called a heck of a game , he’s taken a lot of heat for this bullpen mess but rarely gets recognized for good performances .

Here's one to the whole staff.

I have watched it over and over. Freaking amazing performance from Teagan but more importantly to me is the team reaction. Could this be the spark we need ? Please ?
As I watched the game, I kept thinking that this is the first genuine emotion the team has displayed all season. They have shown emotion in past games, but it seemed like forced or manufactured emotion. Whatever motivated them last night I'd like a double portion tonight.

This is only my 5th year of baseVols and still learning much, so I was uncertain how original that move with the chairs was; but it flat floored me when I read it last night in Elander's post game remarks! I was thinking about it all late night and woke up this morning thinking about it. Brilliant. If it's not something that is known to have been done elsewhere, I almost wished he hadn't said it outside the clubhouse. His style is open, honest, and straightforward and without a lot of "coach speak." Happy for him. Also gave him a chance to praise Chuck and the players' game prep.

Not to take anything away from Kuhns who was was out of this world – but it's a team game – and when you consider E was our hitting coach last year, it's not entirely unfair to say that Josh Elander is the only one to have beaten Volantis. And he's done it twice in two attempts.

E did such a great job of spreading the credit around to players and staff postgame. I'm glad he got what I would consider his first "signature" win. I know it's a series sport. But I had the same feeling watching last night as I had of great pitching performances and team play under the previous guy. E even threw some kudos to Jeff Wood for working with Kuhns to get the latter's body right after last weekend.

Arvy did a great job, too. Let's not forget to praise him in relief of the baller Kuhns.

But hitting Volantis early and often was delightful and irreplaceable. What a great thing for our bats to have Kuhns' back.

As far as your own genius remark last night in the game thread that "Arvy hates Schlushnoodle, we've got this" (which I had to repeat to PAL when she dropped in late for score and outlook): E said postgame that Arvy sent the team a group message Friday morning that said: "We are winning this game."

Kuhns rocks!

This has been one of those years where we have watched young, talented kids develop as as they get experience. Last night was the most complete game they have played all year. Good defense, good at bats, and dominate pitching. Today and tomorrow will tell us if that is what we've grown into as a team. If it is, you don't want us in your regional.

I picked a great first game to attend in almost 20 years. Kuhns was amazing. Best part was when Coach came out in the 7th and everyone assumed he was gonna get pulled. Standing ovation for him…then coach walked away and left him in and the place went electric. (hilariously the next pitch was a barely foul almost 3 run hr) but then he got it done. It was amazing to watch in person.
