Some of these guys should just live in RVs. It's amazing how many different stops a lot of these guys make who manage to last 10+ years. I'd bet that most of them give up after a move or two if they don't latch onto a good head coach.Very True.... High Pay but High Turnover....
Bet Kevin Steele was living in a hotel.
Per Jimmy Hyams:
Tennessee WR coach Tee Martin was not promoted to acting head coach after Jeremy Pruitt was fired because UT’s internal investigation was ongoing and attorneys didn’t want 2020 staff members to be named acting head coach with probe incomplete. That’s why Kevin Steele was selected
Sounds like this was a case of being at the right place at the wrong time . I feel sorry for Tee
This was smart thing to do. If allegations of pay for play were going, you don't promote anyone on the current staff until proved innocent.Per Jimmy Hyams:

Yep. I see this in my field. Lots of people upset they don't get the big promotions but they really have nothing on their resume to justify it. These people mostly feel that are deserving of promotions due to either their age or the amount of time they have been in the current job and/or agency. You gotta put yourself out there. You gotta "check off the boxes" required for whatever job you really want to have. This to me is why he's not a HC, Tee is holding Tee back. Or he's been tabbed a great recruiter that's hidden as a WR coach. His lack of position assignment elsewhere is telling.
I think T was discussed about recruiting issues during his time at USC.Latest Update: (From Hyams and Twitter)
Multiple sources confirmed Tee Martin was promised a two-year extension and raise by former AD Phillip Fulmer but the new deal was not enacted due to the internal investigation. Martin’s contract expires Jan. 31. The probe is expected to be completed within 2-3 weeks.
Sounds like Tee got the royal screw treatment thanks to Pruitt.
So how do we hire a guy like Steele and pay him $900K for nothing when he’s not retained. But Tee gets left out in the cold. Fulmer and Pruitt was allowed to hire Steele during investigation but wasn’t allowed to extend Tee. Somethings sounds fishy to me about that .Latest Update: (From Hyams and Twitter)

there is literally no reason to think promoting Tee Martin to a head coaching position at our school is a good idea. I don't know why people are on that train other than "he's a UT guy". He needs to head coach at a smaller school first. Frankly the wide receiver group was not all that impressive.Per Jimmy Hyams:
