Tee Martin

I mean, yeah. They all got substantial time all four years they played. Tee only attempted 16 passes his first two years at UT.
Okay then, but his point was proven. Tee doesn't compare to Ainge and Dobbs. In fact, Tee Martin is behind quite a few Tennessee Qb's as far as numbers go. He's even behind JG.

Honestly I think tee is a good position coach but he brings a certain amount of drama to the locker room that we don’t need. It was probably worse with Pruitt bc he could run to daddy Phil and tell anytime he wanted. I wish him the best of luck but I won’t be sorry to see him go.

They were both headcases. I'll pass.
Dobbs was a head case? Tee is more of a head case than he is. Ainge yes but the numbers don’t lie about who was better QB overall. If Tee hadn’t had Peerless and that running game, I shutter to think what his extremely low completion rate would’ve been

its said he reported what was going on. why u hate Tee so much?
Is that a good thing? You think he just found out about it.

He’s a poor coach that has been given handouts for years. When he didn’t get what he wanted because he’s a bum, he went after another bum, program be damned. It wasn’t about UT.

He’s not a leader or HC material. He’s not even assistant material anymore

Nah, the only hate here is you. Too indoctrinated into the victimized culture to even understand truth. Dr. King would be appalled at the way the black community champions underachievement and plays the pity card everytime they turn around. You are enslaved by your own ignorance.[/QUOT
This guy gets it

How I knew

Interesting thread. There is another posted Jan 18 that said Heupel to TN.
My source then said that White and Heupel met privatel. That Heupel had already been putting together a staff. That Tee Martin and Osovet were being interviewed not for UCF, but to see if they would be on Heupel’s staff. That Heupel had been talking to Kevin Steele with the understanding that Steele would be his DC. So with that information I posted the topic. - From that article.

Thad would all be good news. It does mean Joe Osovet will be coaching RBs most likely. I read earlier that he plans to bring Halzle (QB) Goresch (TE/Co-OC), and Elarbee (OL). Steele means we get Garner and probably Travis Williams from Auburn if we want them.

I hope he comes back one day when the timing is better. He is a good man. His timing in this instance was horrible. Could have happened to anyone. Still a Vol legend. Best wishes to Tee.

Well said.

I always loved Tee & Peyton my two favorite Vols ever, there are others as well. I'm sorry this is happening. However This is why Im glad neither Tee or Peyton never became Head coaches here because of this reason. Plus if they were we the fanbase would diffidently woul dturn on them.

It wasn't that. He just wanted an opportunity to interview for the job and was not even given the time of day.
I said this in another thread, you don’t give interviews just to placate someone. You give interviews to fill positions, for a current job, or one that may come open in the future. Time is too valuable to just interview out of a courtesy, that just doesn’t happen anymore.

Per Jimmy Hyams:

Tennessee WR coach Tee Martin was not promoted to acting head coach after Jeremy Pruitt was fired because UT’s internal investigation was ongoing and attorneys didn’t want 2020 staff members to be named acting head coach with probe incomplete. That’s why Kevin Steele was selected

Sounds like this was a case of being at the right place at the wrong time . I feel sorry for Tee

Sounds to me like the right decision. Nobody knew at the time if Tee was involved or not.
