I don't understand how you and MikeVol44 don't understand that mentally soft is NOT the same thing as physically soft. No one questions or denies Hurd's physical toughness, but it seems to be pretty clear from multiple sources that Hurd has attitude issues and desires to be the center of attention. This is not the same thing as calling him soft on the football field.

I cannot understand why people do not get this.

Can't be physically tough without being somewhat mentally tough in football.
Anybody who has played football at high level knows this.

And Travis knows this. I know this. We have both played in the SEC.

No. If you had just taken a deep breath, and read 2-3 more pages of posts before being reactionary you would have seen VFL34 said several times that he was speaking about his mental toughness. Instead, you just created a post flaming one of the most respected posters on this board.

Just take a chill pill and think before you make an angry comment.

Well....Pot, meet Kettle....

IF you would have read my entire post--you would see that I was calling B.S. on Hurd because of Travis' OWN COMMENTS he made at length in argument for HURD being much better than HENRY for the NFL as a RB...

The conversation also included his comments about HURD being better than KAMARA, too!

So--Now Travis changes his tune after HURD has his body beaten to hell as he has shared the BULK of carries behind a poor OL in the SEC....and HURD has been doing it for CBJ and the BIG ORANGE for over 2.5 years....

And so now, today, TRAVIS decides to bring up some alleged convo he had with Tee about Hurd being a Pu&&y.....

I am still crying B.S......because TRAVIS chose to say nothing about this when HE was defending HURD and explaining to all of us poor know-nothin' HS players exactly WHY HURD has more potential and why he thinks HURD will be very good in the NFL last year when the OL had hardly any injuries and HURD was in FULL BEAST MODE....

And now, according to Travis and TEE--HURD IS A pu*&y....

NO sir, I stand by my statements....I certainly wish that I would've read further down the thread before reacting and posting--but it would not have changed my response....and I don't care about my credibility on Volnation.....

Credibility on here is like winning the lottery anyway....

GO VOLS!

The post I made that you have chosen to respond to here is in regard to ROY D MERCER...and it was full of comedic intent......

Behr seems to have gotten that point....as I was playing along with him when he ask me how big an 'ol boy I was......

But it seems to be lost on you....GO FIGURE....

You know, VFL34, you have more FB talent in one finger than I have in my whole body--or ever had--

but this comment by you is absolute HORSE-@#$&!!

It was just LAST YEAR with you posted in a thread about how Jalen is a much better RB than Alabama's HENRY...and how Hurd was gonna be much better in the NFL than him....

And how HURD had a much better upside than Kamara because of his longer stride and power....

And NOW you want US to believe that Tee Martin was RIGHT when he said that HURD WAS SOFT???

BULL--EFFIN'--SHEEET!!!!!

I've watched HURD play in the SEC now for almost 3 years like the rest.....and HE IS ANYTHING BUT SOFT!!!

I ALSO read your post before the BAMA game about how we Tennessee and we GONNA BEAT BAMA.....

I know that you don't have to give a Dang about what I think at all...but until now I really was willing to hear you when you spoke....

But NOT ANYMORE!! Thanks for all that you did for UT on the field and off..and I will always admire you for your team attitude, toughness, and selflessness....

But I can't abide this HORSE-crap HURD being soft....

And a bunch of you dudes better be careful about what is said about HURD.... He is going to play in the NFL...and he is gonna be VERY GOOD.....

You think some of you idiots would have learned something by now from making wrong conclusions about Arian Foster's talent and ability.....

:jpshakehead:
Well okie dokie hokie pokie

He recruits at USC...Big difference than recruiting at Tennessee...He didn't set the world on fire recruiting at Kentucky

Recruiting at UT is more similar to recruiting at USC than Kentucky. Nobody sets the world on fire there. C'mon now. Tee would be a heck of a recruiter here.

34 is this one of the big problems with the team this season ( Hurd ) it is painfully obvious that something has been "off" with the team since game one. And it got exposed when we started losing and injuries left and right. Are there any other team issues? Because right now everything feels like a mess and that Butch is losing his team.

Crickets

If u look back at certain games, none of the players ever acknowledge Hurd a lot of times.... I'm sure u can find some video somewhere.

The Georgia game after the fumble. You could see it. Players were like serves you right for showboating!

Tee is not the answer........... he burnt that bridge n we gave him a free ride to see his son and turn us down...... no thank you

Where exactly is the Cleveland Waffle House?

I wouldn't go there unless you want a case of Hepatitis A with your vittles....

It's on Georgetown road off of exit 25....You go to the red light on 25th street and take a right--or South....and it's down there about 1/4 mile or less on the left....

I am not a huge Tee fan, but at this point, I would welcome him as an OC/WR coach. Even though I am pretty sure he will never come to Knoxville.
