Hear me out folks.

COI basically stated that Freeze can be an assistant coach for 2018 with zero penalties.

Let Tee come in and build a staff with Freeze as OC and all will be well.

There is literally no risk to hiring Freeze as OC. Not with NCAA, not with players, not with recruiting....

Win/Win

I still think it is in both our and Tee's best interest for him to be the 25th Tennessee HC.

He'll have a better chance to succeed here if we get a veteran coach in here who can cultivate a better environment over the next 3-4 years.

I like the idea of bringing in Miles, let Tee go on his own path wherever it takes him (hopefully an HC gig at a smaller school so he himself can get some xp), and then hire Tee when Les retires.

Maybe interview Tee right now and just let him know we're thinking of him long term just so he doesn't hold it against us that we didn't call him during this carousel.

Does it really make a rat's arse what we think. Do you think because you make a new thread wishing it to happen it's going to magically come true? Oh wait I know. The incoming AD will see this suggestion, a bell will go off, he'll make the hire and we will all get life-time sky boxes at Neyland.

Not sure why Volnation isn't taking the Freeze scenario as a legit possibility. I believe it would be the best and quickest way to get back to winning the East! He would only have to sit out two SEC games in 2018. Hire or allow an interim to get us that far, then let Freeze to take over!

Saban would be shaking to face him again next year!

He knows how to coach, recruit, and win!

He's the best choice!

Secondly, where is the beef with Freeze. He is significantly a better coach than Freeze. Can't believe are you saying the opposite.

Name the risks? It isn't going to hurt us in recruiting. Its not going to hurt us in player development. It isn't going to hurt us at all with NCAA...

Tell me one issue with hiring him that doesn't have to deal with perception.

I know the media is dumb, but they aren't that dumb if they think Schiano is a better coach than Freeze.

Lol, i dont give a crap how you spell his name.

Its awesome that noone noticed what hit Ol miss today, thanks to Freeze due to the comic show in knoxville. So yeah, lets bring in the guy responsible for that. Sounds like a good plan. You should apply for AD.

My list has been pretty clear.

Chip Kelly
Mullen
Kiffin
Tee
Les

That is five coaches. I haven't advocated for any other coach to be head coach outside of them.

Hugh Freeze would be a killer OC for us.

The thing is, Bama' or Georgia will snap him up if the Vols don't!

Geez, he's there wide open on a silver platter. The sanctions allow it and I am surprised it's not talked up more than it is!

Rather have Freeze on our sidelines than another's!

If you were paying attention, the only punishment that Freeze got was this: can be assistant coach in 2018 with no penalties. Can be a head coach in 2019 with no penalties.

Tell me how us hiring him as OC would be any issue with NCAA?
