Tee Martin & Will Friend Co-OC?

Coach Friend is well respected as a really good coach so if he and Pruitt decided that Friend is our new OC I can accept that.

Tee Martin can go pound sand since he totally used us before just to leverage a pay raise for himself.

Him at UT in any way is a horrid idea IMO.

VFL...GBO!!!
I have to say Will Friend is bringing in some big boys for the line so he seems to recruit really well. Can he be a competitive OC in the SEC? Not sure.

Please highlight the part of my post where I said anything about being excited and I'll be happy to respond to you.
Just get back to me when you're finished.
You asked why do you guys freak out, well these 2 names are crap in terms of Offensive coordinators so that's why people are freaking out

I have never really seen how you can have two OCs in practice. I get it, titles matter on paper, but ultimately one will be the actual OC in practice or technically no one will be...

IMO what we really need is a very experienced (possibly former head coach and OC in past) Associate Head Coach to run the offense. The defensive side wouldn't need an AHC type, since Pruitt as HC is a top defensive mind, so an up-and-comer with the DC title would work fine. But we need more than a typical OC, we need someone who can straight up coach the offense while being accountable to the HC as his boss.

Volquest mods are saying that Jeff Lebby from UCF name is still lingering around.

What are your thoughts of Co-OCs being Jeff Lebby (Passing Game) and Tee Martin (Running Game)?

I told yall Pruitt struggling..All these coaches hiring coordinators except Pruitt...

Oh so you know who he's offered and then got turned down by? Well for the uniformed why don't you let us in on the inner workings of the AD and the HC hiring process. Would shed some light on some things.

Not a good idea at all. Offense was very inconsistent, almost to Larry Scott levels, with his play-calling duties increased. One of the main reasons he was let go. Will Friend at least was successful in a lesser league as OC, but I still feel there is 0% chance he will be our OC next season.

In response to people saying Tee was a horrible play caller.
I mentioned nothing about who the actual OC would be only that Tee as co OC isn't an issue.
Anything on my "excited" comment, yet?

Tee has a better resume than 99% of OCs available.

If it's on staff it should be Osovet.

Stop using a job saving demotion against him. Their defense was the problem.

His team scored 35 in a loss with two backup qbs playing for him. They had almost 300 yards passing 3 tds and no ints that game but gave up 38.

Four of their five highest scoring games last year Tee was OC. Helton was trying to save his own butt. Tee did well at USC.

He has a better resume than Friend, Lebby, Enos who Saban hired, and a ton more.

I love Tee, but if you look at his time at USC, he ran one of the more boring and legitimately just predictable offenses, and that was with top tier talent that you get there. We don't have that, and we'll need at least 1-2 more years to get close to that.

I stopped taking anything serious from Ainge's words when he embarrassingly went at Lane Kiffin on Twitter during Shiano-Gate, I advise you do the same

Tee had the good sense to not work for Butch Jones, especially after Lyle low-balled him with an insulting offer. I don’t fault him in the least for telling jones to stick it and heading back to USC.

If Tee is given co-oc title here, it's for hiring purposes and getting his recruiting skills.
This is so common, just like "co-hc"

Why do you guys try so hard to freak out over everything?

No one's freaking, no one likes the idea

Larry Scott? Weird comparison. Nothing similar about their resumes or results as OC. They have literally nothing in common when it comes to coaching.

One had several top ranked Os and got a qb drafted first round and a ton of wrs.

One had one bad year of play calling.

Weird for you to compare the two.

As sad as it seems it sounds like last year was a behind the scenes Helton & Friend Co-OC. Which as we all know was awful... So it's better to go get the other USC coordinator to try it again? And that's going work better? 👀🙄
