Tee Martin stayed at USCw...

You know...to some people LA is a much better place to live than Knoxville. I grew up watching the Vols but I'd never want to live there again..Nothing against KTown but it's not for everyone..

Doubtful. If we start becoming worth a crap and a spot opens up he could come. The powers that be won't hold a grudge for a coach of his stature.

STATURE????? WTH? Dude was on the sinking ship that was New Mexico before the sinking ship that was Kentucky before the sinking ship (hope like hell) that is usc. Oh, prior to all that he was a commentator on css sports talk. Tell me about stature. He HAD stature at UT.

Tee's visit was publicity for USCw and Tennessee, but the hillbillies couldn't pass on an opportunity to gin up one of their hate-mongering feuds. The event could have been good publicity for us, but the yocals made it into something bad, as is ever their want.

Yep.. If Peyton woulda done this it would of been all praises

Peyton wouldna done it. But like I said, it was just bidness. USC got their publicity, and we got ours. Our fans did not have to make ours bad, as they did. That's not on Tee.

I swear I still wonder how some of you make it through the day.

And don't worry about Tee's wife and the family dynamic, as that didn't come into play at all. He just hates us.
We have guys on here claiming te'o type bs in recruiting dogging freaking jay graham.
Who the fawk do you think you are? He owes you? Ha. **** you.

Why would you go to that extreme? lol Come on bro, really, gonna ignore me because I said I hate Tee Martin and have hard feelings towards him. Look what he did to us! You dont think he did anything wrong? Im not the only one that feels this way, why single me out? lol Me being mad at him should be a good thing, not bad lol

I'd be extreme enough to ignore you because of your childish attitude and scary ex-girlfriend stalker-esqe attitude towards Tee.

Let it go. Or seek some help. You need it.

Even after he didn't take the job, it should have been a good thing for us. A national championship QB visiting for an interview stirs very positive images. No reason to make that into something bad. Tee really was an extraordinary QB. No matter how hot the going got, he was always cool as a cucumber.

FWIW heres my take. He made it public that he would love to come back and coach at UT. When CBJ called him up, he flew out here with his family. Got all the fans excited about the opportunity to have him back in BIG ORANGE. He flys back home and lets the guy who completely disrespected you, me, HIM, and everyone who loves the university of tennessee by dropping us on a dime and leaving the football program in complete shambles talk him into staying at USC. While making it look as if the new coaching staff is incompetent by not even being able to recruit a coach who was dying to be here, to come here.

I messaged Tee on twitter saying "i thought it was f-ed up how he handled it" and all he said was that i was mean and then he blocked me as a follower. Ah well. I certainly appreciate what he did as a player, but personally i wouldnt care to see him be offered a chance to come back. Much less except.

Why put it out there that you want to go to UT if you never had intentions of ever going. Personnally i think he was doing the same as Gundy and trying to get a raise. I dont hate the guy like some, but i personally think he mishandled the whole thing. I think it made UT look bad in the whole PR stand point.

The thread is about TEE MARTIN and its a UT sports message board forum for gods sakes! You softies need to get some thicker skin. What did you expect..every post in this thread was going to praise the backstabber..I mean guy? If somebody wants to let some steam off their chest about the guy and tell ya how they really feel about him, then LET THEM! How is it hurting you in any way that I feel he is a Benedict Arnold? Tell me. Everybody is entitled to their opinion, deal with it you tulips!!

You are embarrassing as a Vol fan and it shames me you have the Tigers and Red Wings logo underneath you.

Go away.

I was a little surprised at how it all went down. I am now indifferent about TM- don't care now but would probably welcome him back. I am not sure how some say it was good publicity for UT- not when you invite your national championship QB home for an interview and he turns us down as he walks off the plane. Oh well- not stressed about it.

The frustrating this about the Tee situation is that it's just another Vonn Bell type case. VFL, heart and soul lies with the Vols, GBO, blah blah all that crap......... except when we're losing they want nothing to do with us. I suppose it's the brutal nature of the college football world, but to me being a Vols fan is about a lot more than wanting them to win.

I consider myself a true fan of the orange. I know I personally would give my left nut to come play any sport for Tennessee, and when I was done I would give my remaining right nut to come back and coach (graphic example I know just trying to get the point across). If I was a high school prospect, or if I were any form of a coach, and two or more schools pursued me and one of them was Tennessee, I would laugh the others away. That's what I expect from anyone who I believe to be a loyal fan of TN, whether it be Tee, Vonn Bell, or anyone else out there who claims to have love for TN.

If you would rather make other "business decisions" then good riddance.

Our fans got the whole thing started, talking about hiring Tee. I thought Kiffin just played the situation for advertisement. Tee recruits in this part of the country, so why not create a buzz by sending him to Tennessee and getting him in the news? Who knows what Jones was thinking...probably wanted his own guy but also wanted to make fans happy. He got his own guy, but failed to take advantage of the situation for positive publicity. I doubt he has much experience with guys like Kiffin. If Tee had interviewed well and gotten a better offer, he might have come here. I don't even know if Tee is a good receiver coach, but Kiffin wanted him as a recruiter.

Yeah, Tee blew the whole loyalty thing in some peoples' eyes. But the fact is that Tennessee did not offer him his first coaching job or his second or his third. We didn't even interview him until after Kiffin hired him and might not have even offered him then. Who here knows if Jones made Tee a good offer? Nobody.
