I still love Tee, and I think he will coach on a Tennessee staff someday. I just think despite what we all thought, the timing was all wrong for him to move across the country to come back to Knoxville. I think he came for an interview as an excuse to come visit a place that he loves and have an opportunity to meet the new staff.

A seed was planted.

He will come home one day.

It is hilarious that he didn't take the job here because he was too busy with his great recruiting class when the ones that he was recruiting up and left!

I think Tee stayed to sabotage USCw recruiting class. His guys left (one for Kentucky, the "bottom of the barrel" in his own words). True VFL, taking one for the team. Double agent work at its finest. ;)

He chose making his wife happy VS coming home. I can't fault the man for that. I would have no issue at all if CBJ did not consider him for another spot on this UT staff when Kiffy is canned and Tee is looking for work.

I feel like a lot of the people bashing tee don't have professional careers. He made a business decision. Put yourself in his shoes. Why would you take pretty significant pay cut to work for another employer? What if your best friend started a business and wanted you to join him, but he could only offer you 80% of what you're making now? Would you take it? I know I wouldn't.

USCw and UT aren't schools to coaches, they're potential employers. Most of you guys don't seem to understand that.

At the end of the day, I am a man of my word. I promised Coach Kiffin when I was hired at USC that I had goals I wanted to accomplish here. We still have work to do here to reach those goals. I see a great future at USC with the players on our roster and the recruits we have coming in.

I really dont know what to think about the Tee Martin situation, I can see asst or head coaches flying across the US to interview, but to decline the job before you leave town was a slap in the face, it really felt like a Kiffy move and I suppose thats why I have a bad taste in my mouth from it...I do believe he would be Booed if he where to show up again...fans dont take kindly for those type of actions..around here.
