Smart was a seasoned coordinator with 9 years experience as a coordinator under Saban. If folks can't understand the difference between someone who is in second year as OC - I don't know what to tell you.
Why was Chip considered a bad fit in the SEC because he is a west Coast guy, but Tee is not considered exactly the same. He is OC for THE WEST COAST TEAM. But naturally he would be great at TN because he played here as QB.
He probably understands the sec and UT traditions. All chip experienced was whipping on UT's last two goofballs and losing in title games. I would of enjoyed kelly as a coach too by the way.
I fully agree. My biased opinion is based on the sole fact the only time in my life that I had season tickets was because of my dad and it was the 98 99 seasons. I am not all knowing, yet sometimes I pretend to know more than others. However I trust him, like many trust their hero's, I am just curious on how he truly has done. I'm not gonna lie, I was sour on him for a minute because he denied a lateral jump for butch, but in hindsight I can see his reasoning. I totally dig the miles coach in waiting scenario. That's why I am curious of his oc prowess.

How much time has Tee spent as a coach in the SEC?
How many years was he the QB at TN?
Serious question. Not being a smart @$$
