Tee Martin is not happy...

We all love Tee. He's our guy! Tee is in a good spot right now and he should see an expanded role. I personally did not think he was ready to be a HC. I wish he was ready to come home as an OC, but that would have been weird on multiple fronts. This guy grew up the son of a coach in northern Alabama, in a town with the Tennessee River running through it. He's young, he's passionate, he's a great teacher. He's all in! Get behind him and I think he will do great. Ask yourself what's more important to you, do you want Tee Martin as your head coach? Or do you want Tennessee to be feared again? Because we have a new coach now and he's a deserving person. Get on the wagon and let's go kick the snot out of Florida and beat up every team we play. Remember those days? When we maybe even lost the game, but the other team left bruised, battered and demoralized...Reminds of that time Tommy Bowden tried running the option against us, and it was working like a charm- until Shawn Ellis hit that QB so hard he didn't rise for a week. I get the feeling that you aren't going to enjoy playing the Vols any more.

Nobody will follow saban when he leaves. Nobody with a brain. You don’t follow the guy. You follow the guy who follows the guy. When saban retires, t town will burn.

OP should be listening to Swain and Fred this morning discussing Tee and our hire. Fred said he talks and texts Tee. He said Tee is happy and happy for UT. Said we got a good coach in Helton "He can Coach". Said he felt the Twitter Love from fans and that made it easier for him. (Obviously he doesn't read threads here thank the Lord). Said he wants to be a head coach one day. Said there's nothing but love from Tee toward UT. While at KY, he told WR's that he couldn't get to go to UT.

You have got to be kidding me......you mean the posters on here should actually listen to someone who talks to Tee on a regular basis and is a close friend. ARE YOU NUTS. I for one will get my info from all the brain surgeon posters on here...... :banghead2:

Tee may be a great coach someday, but he's not right now. Being a fan can blind folks to reality. There's question about how much control/freedom he has at USC calling plays. Now fans think he should have been given the UT job? Come on. No way UT can take that chance. As for this coach in waiting bit, no way. You make promises like that only to find that the guy just doesn't have what it takes to be a head coach and you've created a big problem for yourself. You prove your mettle and earn a head coaching job at a place like UT. Based on resume only....I'd choose Pruitt over Tee as well....every single time. And I'm a UT alum. Not the time for tee and if he's upset, get over it and get to work growing yourself and your career. Maybe next time....maybe not.

Then he needs to go to Oregon and prove himself there as a HC. I hope he knocks it out of the park there as well and returns home eventually. But I am not sold on him at this point.

I wish Tee all the best. Having said that , when juveniles at the facility where I worked got down due to not getting what they wanted they were often told “ If you’re sad you better scratch your ass and get glad."

I don’t see anything to suggest Tee Martin is in the running for Oregon.
