Tee Martin is not happy...

Neither Dooley or Sunseri ever worked under Saban as a coordinator. They were both position coaches under Saban. I think Dooley coached special teams.

Dooley got Sabans coffee, picked up his cleaning and took Ms Sabans car to get oil changed and tires rotated. That goofy **** can’t coach anything.

You want a Bad Look........hire him as a Head Coach. He lost out at GA Southern HC job. He doesn't even call all the plays......HC wants him to go, so he can put his brother in as OC. Tee needs to start small, prove himself and get to UT level. NO WAY he is HC material today.

South Alabama wasn’t interested and that’s his hometown

If we had to be judgement day honest we’d admit Tee just isn’t ready for a major HC job yet. Only calling 1st and 2nd down plays as an OC for two years just isn’t enough time to prove your abilities. I appreciate Tee and hope he succeeds at the highest level someday. If we’re being honest when he turned us down to stay on the West Coast it wasn’t personal for most of us it was business (and family). This isn’t personal either....it’s business and JP without question has shown his abilities AT THE HIGHEST LEVEL. Plus I personally wanted a strong defensive coach as HC. Just think its better that way....

Cutcliffe was a Bammer...guess we should give back that title he helped us win and forget that half the people on here were begging him to come back.

People who are playing the “Bama” card really haven’t been at this very long I guess. In coaching guys come from everywhere and serve on staffs from coast to coast. I couldn’t care less if he’s Bama, Georgia, or Russia. Can he coach and recruit in the SEC...so I agree with your statement. Cut was as BAMA as you could get back then....

This is not about Tennessee or Alabama ties, it's about Tee not having the experience right now. I love Tee, but he has only been an OC for two years. Pruitt has been one of the top DCs in the country for years. He has consistently had great defense's with numerous teams. Plus he has three national championships, two as DB coach at Alabama. He just has the better resume with a lot more experience right now. However, I was really hoping he'd join Pruitt at Tennessee as OC.

Doesn't Saban coach the DB's? Where can I sign up for that gig.

When did he have his chance?

Tee had offers to join the staff under dooley and jones. it's never been about being at tennessee to him. seriously, not an insult at all. i understand not wanting to work for those two, but it was ever truly about getting back to his alma mater to coach, he's had chances. he's got a really good thing going in cali anyways, so i don't feel bad for the guy.

People. please name all the schools now going after Tee for their Head Coach position.

I'll wait for the list of schools.

Tee simply isn't ready or have enough proven experience for this level.

VFL...GBO!!!

How many went after Pruitt..........Buck him and Bammer and Judas Brutas. General Neyland rolled over in his grave today!

Yeah well he can get over it. We weren't happy when he spurned us a couple years ago. He isn't ready for the job yet, and may never be. Still love him, but I really don't care if he is mad about this.

I truly love Tee as a VFL....But TN is not in a spot where we can afford to gamble. We had to go after the best guy possible. Tee just isn't ready for this job.

I see the point. Pruitt has a batter resume but he’s just as much of a risk. I’d still rather hire Tee. Come together? How about come together with your own?

Tee doesn't even call plays at USC, Tee is a bigger risk at this point

I saw the same thing on Twitter. Bad look.
Agree 100%. Tee has never "developed" any offensive schemes; makes very few offensive decisions or adjustments at USC-the-real-one. He's grossly...GROSSLY...under-qualified to be HC anywhere. Plus, where, outside of playing in it in the latter '90's, has he attained experience in SEC play? From this sameolvol's perspective, he's got the class of a slug, displayed by his angst over not being promoted to a position which he's got to know he can't handle. You've burned a perfectly good bridge, Mister Martin.

To all you people freaking out over the lack of name recognition here, he has won nattys as DC at two different places. That is no coincidence. Period. Bring on an excellent oc and some recruiters and shiz son, we are back. As good a defensive mind as Schiano minus the wishy washy did he or didn't he around the Sandusky scandal. Also he is not known as the worst head coach in the history of the NFL either. I would be shocked if our D is not excellent next year. Then again, I was socked when the Shoopfense didn't work, so we will see. I am definitely not disappointed with this hire.

Scott Frost got the job, because he proved he could do it. Tee should have been lobbying for the opening at UCF once Frost left not the UT head coaching job.

Welcome, Coach Pruitt, to Big Orange Country. Time to return to “It’s football time in Tennessee”. Much success to you and your staff.
