Tee Martin give shoutout to Tennessee fans after USC win

If we want the USC offense then maybe Tee should bring the QB with him. Don’t forget that USC has the top NFL prospect. Not sure how much of that was there out of HS and how much Tee helped develop.

Very true, and while they're at it, we'd better buy extra tickets for their OL, TE and WRs as well. Our brittle brigade is better suited for flag football vs the SEC.

There are still people that believe Gruden is a head coaching candidate? Lol

There's also people that think we never landed on the moon and the earth is flat.

Some think the easter bunny is real.

I think aliens are out there, somewhere.

Some believe in jesus, some allah.

I can't definitively prove or disprove any of the above, by myself. lots of things in life come down to belief and faith.

You really can't prove anything. Almost everything you believe or think or see, is faith based.

Nothing anyone takes on as faith, truly hurts me or you, not really. Unless you count butthurt.

So what do you know?

Pretty much not a damn thing.

What do you believe?

Whatever you want to believe, whatever makes you happy and feel good.

And thats fine with me.

Maybe I've just caught a case of the "Rainbows & Butterflies" delusion, but I can see a Gruden HC, Martin OC/HCIW, ??? DC package. Gruden comes in as CEO for 3 to 5 years, with Martin as the OC / Recruiting Coordinator. Then Gruden sails off into the sunset as a VFL hero, and Martin picks up right where JG left off.

Personally, I think Coach Fulmer would approve of that package deal.

Go Vols.

??? = Kevin Steele as DC

The USC QB had to have talent, coming out of high school. It's all about developing that talent to excel at the power 5 level.

Dormady, JG, Riley Ferguson, Justin Worley, etc... all had talent coming out of high school, and all struggled under Butch. Even Dobbs struggled for a good while before he just let it rip, with raw athleticism and overcame.

Remember Crompton before Kiffin? Remember Ainge before Coach Cut? Those two guys got a shot in the NFL because they finally got elite coaching in college.

Tee will be great, here.

This whole thing is turning around. At some point, we will be laughing at UCLA, Florida and A&M. UT will have an honorable, elite coaching staff... and an athletic department that doesn't do stupid sh!t to please a big money donor.

Had we hired Tee without knowing Leach was a lock I would be happy . Now I would be disappointed. I think Tee needs a few more years to learn

As for Tee coming here for a few years as OC, I don't think that's realistic given the family situation. He's not moving across the country from LA for a lateral move. No way. If he comes here, it's as the head coach. Even then I have to wonder what momma might say about living in the hills of east tn? Do not discount the influence a wife exerts on the husband. Maybe the money makes it work, but she will have a say and if that word is no, Tee ain't coming either. I've been married for 35 years...trust me on this.

So don’t get married and/or hand your balls over to a woman? Got it. Hopefully Tee didn’t make the mistake you did.

Tee may be the only guy at this point that would entertain coming to UT. What coach is gonna come to a school were it appears the Athletic Department is more interested in game of thrones power plays than winning football games. I would support Tee & hope with all my heart he's successful. But if it fails, there's nothing quite as bad as getting rid of one of your own.

Too bad the girl inthe middle has a #16 jersey on 😳

That's not bad. It's a great example of "blessed are the peacemakers" to bring some much needed and powerful unity.

Like AD Fulmer said yesterday, "It's amazing what a team can accomplish when no one cares who gets the credit and it's in that spirit...let's have some fun winning championships!"

Peyton won a couple of championships (Colts and Broncos)
and Tee won the legendary '98 season national championship.

No hate between the two. Just brotherly love. They're grown men and don't have time for sibling rivalry like that.

I liked the sound of the package that was Kiffin-martin-Steele or even the chief in place of Steele.

That was supposedly floated as a possibility by Gruden to boosters trying to broker the deal. Let’s hope there’s some truth to it.

Are you floating the concept Gruden and Schiano both hold valid MOUs with which UTAD has to dispose?

Martin would very, very not likely make a lateral move (to OC). Also, it’s anybody's guess if he’s ready to be a HC - especially at premiere program in UT. I just would hate to see one of our beloved own treated the way Jones was if/when Martin doesn’t meet expectations. If he’s ready though he’s ready. It’s in Phil’s hands now and I like that much better than being in Currie’s hands.

I say bring him home. Our team was truly united when he was the QB. He’s the kind of leader that everyone respects. His upside is huge and it’s wortt the risk.

Phil would make sure he hired a good staff so I think it would work

You guys that think Gruden is/was a pipe dream have not been paying attention. The Sunday after the South Carolina Loss, Cindy Gruden and Vicky Fulmer spent the day together in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. Why do you think there was so much uproar from the boosters (other than Haslam) when the Schiano hire leaked. They thought the plan was to announce Jon last Sunday. The powers at UT met with Gruden 3 times. Once hat the resort in Charlotte prior to his calling the panthers game on Monday night and twice in Tampa which 3 local news outlets reported.

He may not ever coach at UT but to say in the last 6 weeks that nothing was going on is just not true.
