what was the most "fortunate" win in 98:

1. syracuse - late penalty gives UT the win
2. arkansas - late fumble by arkansas QB gives UT the win
3. florida - choke on easy FG in OT gives UT the win

Based on my limited knowledge, I'd have to pick #2.

I nwent to three games that year. Syracuse in the dome, Arky. at home (thank you Stoner) & the Fiesta Bowl. What a year & I picked the three best games, excitement wise!!!!!! How I miss those times G.B.O..

Id put Florida up against the Syracuse game but without a doubt, three awesome games. I was young but I remember

Just went there. It is still there. I can't serve it up on a silver platter. Use your mouse and you brain.

Or you could learn how to post properly and provide a link since you were the one who wanted people to check it out in the first place. No need to be a d*** head.

Thanks for posting ... great memories.

In other news, this whole game was one giant "Third and Chavis..." McNabb got a ridiculous number of 3rd down conversions.

No! How about you learn how to post a link properly. You should know by now that if you start a thread talking about something on another site then you have to share a link or you will be questioned. USE YOUR BRAIN!

I lived in DC at the time and only went to the Syracuse game plus the national championship game. I still can't believe we won the Cuse game.

I refer you to my last comment. Name calling on line demonstrates intellect deficiency. I told you where it was, and there it was. Not my fault you skimmed the surface. You wouldn't call me a name face to face, I guarantee that.

I don't copy and paste. Dont ever intend to. If you are helpless, that isn't my problem. You guys want everything to be so easy, use your brain----or lose it.
The game was on the UT Sports site, as I indicated.

Yeah, and a bunch of missed tackles----even by Al Wilson. Chavis wasn't out there. Appreciate the words. You are the reason I posted this. Some others; not so much.

That is the only year that I was able to make EVERY GAME, Home and Away. I'm 50 years old now and that was still one of the best years of my life. I had always wanted to attend every game, and I just happened to pick the right year to do it.

i miss John. that guy was great.

Yes, Actually, incomparable. As talented as any artist, singer, actor, writer, just talented as he11. Blessed with a great announcing voice, and worked at being the best. AND retired way before it was time; IMO, but that is what a real pro does. Not wanting to slip any. Long live John Ward. :salute:
