Tee Martin and Jeff Brohm Contacted per GRIDIRON NOW

NO, he would be a terrible hire and do not need to hire someone to learn while on the job. We have tried that and it did not work.

Who do you think we can get? If it comes down to Tee getting the job or some other Google coach who will learn on the job, what would you prefer?

Tee would be a homerun. He has been coaching O at one of the most prestigious programs in the country. Bring Venables in as DC and watch us rule again.

Google coach. Better to have the coach who might be bad than the one you know is.

While Tee is beloved by the Vols including me I don't think Tee is anywhere near ready for the head coaching job at UT....Nor is Peyton Manning or Al Wilson etc etc.....I do think he will be someday but he needs to HC somewhere first. AND PLEASE folks don't listen to everything you hear or read with the media...I COULD NOT SERIOUSLY CARE LESS WHAT BOOMER OR FORTE ETC ETC THINK...We will be ok...There's still only one Way to heaven and the sun is still shining....So calm down and show your maturity....

Brohm and Tee have been contacted after the debacle yesterday.

TN has to get its swagger back and they need someone to save recruiting. Give him the staff he wants/needs (no Larry Scotts or Sal Sunseris) and he will be fine. Lincoln Riley had ZERO HC experience and much less overall experience than Tee and he's fine. I think Tee, combined with a solid experienced staff, would do just fine. We won't find a legit proven winner right now, best we could hope for is Les Miles. Currie needs to gamble and go with someone that can get recruiting on track. Every day we go without a head coach the SEC and ACC vultures are picking at the carcass of our recruiting class.

So many experts on who can coach or not ..amazing . We had a hall of fame coach (Fulmer) he wasn't good enough. 8-10 wins in a season wasn't good enough. He had his down years but he also won a national championship. The problem is whomever we hire is already behind recruiting wise and in the talent that has not been developed here. This is not a quick fix. We need to drop the Gruden crap.. and move on to something realistic . There are plenty of good young coaches out there ..T Martin , Jeremy Pruitt at Alabama. ect.. We need someone vested in the school and the community

this sucks SOOOO BADDDD. Currie, I HATE YOU. Youre a slimy, ignorant, conceded little man. How the hell did you get to the position you're in? What were you thinking really? If you have any heart, you'll give a presser this week explaining yourself. This is why you kept it hush hush. What back alley deal were you trying to pull? I'm literally disgusted thinking of everything that stupid mad caused yesterday with his stupid idea.

Bring Tee home. He might not be ready, but we need someone like him to unite the fan base and mend this situation. Here is the ideal way to go about this:

1. Hire him as either HC or OC/HC in waiting with Fulmer as interim bringing him up to speed. If Fulmer isn't interim, he can advise Tee.
2. Give him as much as he needs to have the best supporting staff, this will be the most crucial part of the deal.
3. Don't interfere with him, let him get who HE wants and let him run the show how HE wants it. The boosters need to stop interfering with everything. No good coach wants to come into a situation with so much booster influence.

We need to stop being cheap as this might be the only way to fix this sh!tshow.

#BringTeeHome if you want to.

We have a dumpster fire and you want to hire someone who has never put out a fire before. This is not the move.

People are still convinced we can land a "home-run" hire. Even though all the home-run hires were missed already.

Tee is the best option remaining.

Bring in Willie Fritz from Tulane. Dude is a proven winner on so many levels. Look what he did at Georgia Southern during their first two years coming to D1. His offensive system would work. Bet he'd be cheap. Which is what we need right now because we're paying Jones and now Schiano. Currie, you stupid man

I'd rather have Kiffin than Tee.

Let's be honest. Our band width on who we can choose from just got exponentially smaller w/ Currie's antics yesterday. I'll gladly take a competent coach who wants to give his all for UT. I'd be OK with Tee.

It’s tough times right now.. and let’s just face it.. Frost, Campbell.. etc. isn’t coming here! And I know I’ll get some heat for suggesting this but here’s what the hire should be...
Les Miles ( HC)
Art Briles (OC)
Todd Grantham (DC)

And I think it’s possible

Hiring Art Briles takes us from the Sh!tstorm we are in now into a Category 5 Sh!ticane. Why on earth would you want that.

At this point the most likely people to walk into this firestorm are the people who know it.

Somebody not familiar and thinking of bringing their family here after an unprecedented fan base revolt. Too much against us.

It will be an upstart gamble or a very conservative/safe hire.

The problem with Fulmer wasn't that he just hit a snag, he was trending down and it wasn't looking like we were just in a slump. We didn't have the swagger that we did in years past. That's why they went with Kiffin, he brought the energy and swagger that Fulmer was lacking. The problem is they didn't follow that up with the same caliber of coach after Kiffin bolted.
